Hello Ginger, I am enjoying your videos! starting mounjaro next weekXx
@GingerGoesGLP1Күн бұрын
@@TheNadatata Oh thank you so much. What a lovely comment. Expect anything your first week and don’t worry about how much or little you’re eating as I think that first week your body is in shocked and forgets what hunger even is. For me it was a huge relief but eventually you want to eat again. Good luck and keep me posted how you are getting on.❤️

I can understand this , I think it's why I personally have felt, a little depressed on mounjaro because as my life is quite difficult at times and I think I used food as part of the feel good factor to take away stress or pain sadness and I have nothing to replace while on mounjaro, that I'm having to work more on my mindfull thinking and make other things like craft, exercise or evening groups to make a change but it's difficult towards the end of the week when mounjaro is wearing off. But if I don't get it sorted, when I come off mounjaro, i'll eat myself back again to being overweight 🙄

100% this!!! I am having to recognise it and work with it and feel the feelings. I can tell you get it completely. It's finding that replacement behaviour or thing to do instead. I did it with smoking and drinking and now it's fod's turn. We can do it and there is an alternative.it's just keeping strong and not giving in in these early days. Thank you for sharing

Thank you for your videos ! I am starting my Mounjaro journey tomorrow. I am feeling a bit aprehensive. Why dont you try lactofree protein powder? It might work better for you.
@GingerGoesGLP13 күн бұрын
Oh how exciting, I remember being the same but also excited. Try it at night the first time, I took it at 7pm so any major side effects would be overnight. I didn't get anything of note. I am researching various protein powders but as well as struggling with dairy I have issues with soy and some legumes which rules out a lot of the vegan proteins. There is a beef isolate one I am looking at but its quite expensive but might be the one In opt for ultimately. Thank you

Well done! You’ll do it. I’m 66 - my highest weight was 285lbs. Now at 168lbs and aiming for 145lbs. I started Mounjaro in August and have lost 32lbs (I’d lost 85 across the previous year - low carb and intermittent fasting) but had stalled for 4 months so thought I’d give Mounjaro a try. Also joined a gym in August and loving it - no cardio concentrating on weights. Getting a personal trainer once a week was a great decision for me - a self-care treat from my pension 😂

@@CarolJones123 Oh my goodness, you have my full admiration and respect. Low carb and IF worked well for me but I have a lot of psychological issues with food and need the Mounjaro to help block those which it does help with. I am mightily impressed by your achievements. I think my highest was around that too but that was before low carb carnivore. The gym for me will come in time I’m sure. ❤️

I have just binge watched your videos. As a fellow 54 year old lady living alone, I get your Sunday struggles. I've been on a diet since the 5th October and on Mounjaro for 5 weeks. 2.5mg starting 5mg next week. I am also struggling to get my calories up to 1200 and often leaving food on my plate. I too was brought up in the 70's where you ate until your plate was cleared, so i find that difficult. Luckily i have 2 dogs who are happy to help. If you could see my wardrobe, its like a branch of oxfam, i have clothes from size 22 to size 12. I have decided this time, it's my last diet ever, im not doing this to myself again. With the help of Mounjaro I will decrease my wardrobe as well as my body! Good luck with your journey, I will await an update. 😊 x

@@claireclowes3705 Such a lovely comment and I can feel your determination to succeed. The comment about the wardrobe full of various sizes I get completely. I have a pair of size 12 jeans that I have held onto from when I had a massive weight loss in 2001 and that was the last time I wore them. Wow that hits home. I don’t think I’ll ever get back in those jeans but I’ll settle for close to them. Glad to have you along for the ride ❤️

So when you broke the pen..was nothing injected in? Is this why you withdraw using the needle instead?
@GingerGoesGLP112 күн бұрын
@@lornamc5928 It injected about half what was left in the pen, then I extracted the rest with the syringe. It depends as I have seen other videos where breaking the pen they get all of it out. I think it’s just luck.
