I swear that part where Casanova did the backwards spin kick over the table has gotta be the best brutality in asian cinema history. I rewarched that part so many times I lost count.

This is a Masterpiece, 😮 the second and last battles are great, the ladys dead from evil monkey twins was awesome but the avenges from his pal was savagely he uses the machetes and cut both them with NO MERCY 😮 and the end was GREAT that super fly kick was lethal and finish him with a hit in the lower neck BRUTAL, 😮 FLAWLESS VICTORY

I had the pleasure of watching this classic twice at a cinema back in 1981/2 & then again at a London screening in 2022.

Movie could've been good but they ruined it by hiring a korean for a chinese role whos specialty is taekwondo and uses the those kicks for the finishing move. The movie (including the hk movie the "prodical son" also with sammo hung) is suppose to be masters regarding the linage of wingchun to ipman, "bruce lees teacher"

Good Lord, that brings me back! Rewinding the VHS tapes, getting fish and chips and settling down with my mum and 4 ugly older sisters to watch such classics as; - Snake in the Monkey's Shadow - Snake in the Eagle's Shadow - Sleeping Fist (this one) - Drunken Master - Master with Cracked Fingers, etc.... People should do these in modern day. I love this old-school stuff like that but I think it’d be hilarious really entertaining. We just had a bunch of random kung fu really old-school choreographed moves like this.

Feng Ke Han, Beardy, Li Hoi Sang, Sammo, Yuen Biao, Mang Hoi and many others legends in one of the best movies about Wing Chun.
