Thanks for watching bud. It still amazes me too how this big chunk of metal can get up there. Its fun to watch these A380s try to land with a strong headwind, they look like they are gliding slowly before touching down with a very short roll. ❤️❤️❤️

I've made that trip ten times .. 8 of them on 747 and 2 on the A380 .. luckily all flights business class. Prefer the 747 but Korean Air is by far one of the best in the air. Amazing.

@@sfoaviation Business class was nothing short of impressive. I did love the room in the back of the A380 where there is a bar and couches. Thanks for posting the video. It brought good memories and Incheon airport is one of the best in the world.

Do you remember if they had those fancy triangle shape glass ceiling back then? I got into plane spotting years ago it was until recently decided to share my love for aircraft here on youtube. Its a hobby I do make these videos when I have time. There are youtubers out there trying to make a career $ out of it.

Both Asiana and Korean fly at the same time to LAX with the A380, right?

Yes they fly out literally side by side on flightradar most of the time 😆 always fun to watch to see which one reaches their destination first

And they both depart at the same time returning back to ICN. Often times, they'll actually take off one right after the other on the same runway at LAX. Back to back A380 takeoffs to the same destination. That's pretty rare.

@@mrjinkorea Thanks for the feedback Jin. I am curious if it has something to do with clearing the same gates in LAX to make way for the other A380 operators like Qantas. In SFO there is literally 1 single Gate in International terminal that serves the lone British Airways and Emirates A380s.

Well you know how it is with airline food its never going to be anywhere close to restaurant quality stuff these things need to be packaged and hold their own within a certain amount of time and they make millions of these in a single day. The food wasn't bad at all it tasted great and their fruits were fresh.

Thanks for watching Perla! There was a slight turbulence during the flight that lasted about 2 minutes. The A380 was so big barely moved. It was super comfortable.

I agree SFO is a pretty airport. Not as congested as most airports in the country. Sunset take offs are awesome we have pink skies that are spectacular in the winter months. The fog adds more epicness to the scenery. Welcome to California ☺️

I flew the Emirates A380 few flights after it was epic. I love the service and the crew was awesome. The aircraft was super duper clean and Dubai airport was a blast. Video should be out in the future. Thank you for watching ☺️

Thank you for your beautiful video! It's undeniable how much you love this plane! I do, too. My dream to fly in this magnificent piece of engineering came true shortly before the pandemic. I thought it was also the last time. To my joy, BA brought him (for me, he is the King of the Skies) back, and I have been on his upper deck 12 times and counting on this same route: LHR to SF. And yes, the pilots let me check out the fly deck last September on my birthday, and they took photos of me sitting in the FO's seat - the best day I have had (I am a female). Long live the BA's A380!!

Oh really? I loved all the meals they served it was tasty and they gave out so much food during this flight I was ready to explode way before landing 😆 I did not notice snacks in the galley but what I did notice the flight attendants was running around the Entire flight, literally asking everyone if they would like something to eat. The entire flight someone was snacking on goodies. I couldn't believe the cabin crew worked the entire 13 hours. On my previous A380 flights from Emirates and British Airways the crew slept all the way barely showed up for anything. Please share what it was like before, I am curious what has changed. 😀

@@sfoaviation I've actually never flown KE before, but I've seen a lot of videos reviewing the airline. The meals were just bibimbap and porridge. kzbin.info/www/bejne/emGxfZxrd9mlgac I flew Asiana A380 same route last year. The meals were amazing. I should've picked their steak instead of bibimbap, though.

I think on the flights you watched the passenger selected the bibimbap and porridge, it was an option on KE as well. I opted for the American option, I won't survived on just lettuce 😂

Hi Jacob! Thank you for watching. They did not weigh my carry ons they were lax about it on this flight. This was a full flight. From my previous A380 flights carry ons were never a problem. This plane is so big and powerful enough that any extra weight is not a big deal. The Emirates A380 even cargos vehicles of all sorts. One of the luxuries flying with the A380. In a 777 or A350 carry on weight is an issue therefore most airlines are stricter from my experience.

@@sfoaviation I'll be flying this November, super excited. Last time I tried Asiana A380 from LAX to INC, they weighed my carry-on. Super strict about it for not exceeding 10 kg. Hoping KE is not like Asiana

@@jacobs4985 That is fantastic! I hope you reserve some great seats. To be fair Asiana fares are usually lower than Korean Air. KE is considered to be a higher end airline. I remember when booking this flight it cost me double of what I would pay for Asiana A380. It was costly this KE flight but worth it I love the plane and the livery. I couldn't stop looking at it. Barely did any walk around to see other planes hanging out in the terminals 😂 KE was cool with carry ons with me, lets hope they don't go rambo on you. November is a chill month for travel its just before the holidays too so hopefully things are lax on your flight.

@@jacobs4985 Oh wait double check 47D, I believe some of those front rows have no windows next to them. Not sure if you like the window view but its useful to enjoy the views during a flight. The front rows have the best legroom space though. Google seat chart for KE A380, you'll find a map on seatguru?

I had low expectations for United and I was letdown we couldn’t fly Ana or JaL but I Just flew on United airlines for the first time last month from Denver to SFO then to Osaka Kansai on UA 35 777-2 and I must say I was impressed with the long haul products and service that United offered on my flight and I was impressed with how nice the cabin was despite being a older 777-200 idk if it’s because United is trying to compete with ANA and JAL on the same route but when I saw other United reviews to places like London or Paris the quality of the flights looked atrocious. The SFO airport also blew my mind since we’ve only been using LAX to get to Asia but I gotta consider using SFO more since it’s less chaotic, much more organized and just cleaner

Thank you for watching and sharing your feedback on your United flight experience. I'm glad you had a good experience with United. From experience United's international hauls are usually more pleasant. Depending on the destination most of their long haul domestic are the worst lots of cheapos and creeps travel on them which explains the beat up cabin so on. International like the ones going to Japan have more sensible travelers onboard so the planes are less beat up.

United and ANA are partner airlines. I do agree that United is 'fine' for long haul economy, sufficient food to satify ones hunger, pillow, blanket, are the essentials but there simply is no wow factor.

@@TheBudgetTraveller786 Thanks for your feedback on United. I really like United and love their seats for some reason. Uniteds long haul international flights have been awesome it seems they are trying to compete against the compeition. It really depends on the destination, United flights to Japan for me was just right, the cabin is clean the food was good. For whatever reason I enjoy my Japan flight than my Paris flight with United. It planes going to Paris was a bit rougher on the edge.

love this video. Currently British Airways and Emirates fly their a380s to San Francisco, hope more airlines can fly their a380 to SF! I remembered both Lufthansa and Air France used to do it. however Air France retired their a380's and Lufthansa just started rolling theirs out

I can only dream what it was like now. I seen old videos of them and is always in awe. Lufthansa might make a comeback to SFO, it will an awesome sight. 🙂

I took this same flight a couple of weeks ago. Sat in Econ upstairs aisle seat. The IFE screen is the most annoying thing about this boring uneventful flight (which is not a bad thing at all). Would certainly recommend.

The youngest A350-900 of VietNam AirLines have first flight on February 26th 2019 and delivery to VietNam AirLines on May 16th 2019 fly ferry and landing at Noi Bai International airport with new winglet with VN-A898 898 and 899 is two A350 have new winglet I really happy because I can see VietNam AirLines aircraft landing at SFO I hope I see VNA plane to LAX,JFK,DFW this A350 aircraft I see in really live before flying to SFO this A350 have operated reparations flight for COVID-19 and cargo flights to Madrid (Spain) and Amsterdam (Holland) after COVID-19 VN-A899 have usually flying to SFO in 2022
