There's this old scifi shonen called Project ARMS. Its about a few teens with nanomachine implants named after Alice in Wonderland characters being stalked by an secret organization called the Egregori, which are ran by a group of clones all named Keith. It has a Ocean Group dub with the late Kirby Morrow voicing the lead Ryo.

Not to mention Opera Omnia finally gave all 5 of them Official Japanese VAs: Bartz - Soichiro Hoshi and Jason Spisak Lenna - Ayako Kawasumi (She and Hoshi were the leads in Ai Yori Aoshi) Galuf - Hiroshi Naka Faris - Rie Tanaka (She and Hoshi were Kira and Lacus in Gundam SEED) and Emily O'Brien Krile - Yukari Tamura (She and Hoshi were in Higurashi as Keiichi and Rika and S-Cry-Ed as Kazuma and Kanami)

I realize there's hardly any werewolf centric Japanese media. The only ones come to mind are Wolf Children: Ame and Yuki, Spice and Wolf (Even though Holo is more of a Wolf Spirit), and To the Abandoned Sacred Beasts (The MC Hank is a werewolf, though there are other werebeasts). I blame Kazumasa Hirai for his Wolf Guy works. lol

Oh and Igor has a new JP VA in Reload since his old one passed away. Bin Shimada (DBZ Broly) is who they went with, even though they also casted Hochu Otsuka (Naruto Jiraiya) for 5 Phantom X.

The Japanese VA Cast for SEES and Strega were kept for Reload. Though the Social Link characters are given new VAs than the ones they had in the Drama CDs. Akinari for example is voiced by Hirofumi Nojima instead of Hiroshi Kamiya.

There's this japanese werewolf horror franchise made by the late Kazumasa Hirai called Wolf Guy. It started off as a shortlived manga back in 1970 only to be readapted into novels as well as spinoff series called Adult Wolf Guy. Having two live movies back in the 70s, then a 90s manga with the Adult Detective MC, and then an infamous 2007 remake of the original story set in a more modern era where its more extremely violent and sexual.

The anime is good but it leaves out many of the smaller details that while on their own aren't important, overall just make the world feel a lot more alive. Also at the end you'll understand the world from all layers of society. The light novels are excellent and the unreliable narrator comes through more as the novel is from her perspective with intros and epilogues from other peoples pov showing more how it looked to everybody else.

Yay bookworm! Some notes for you: First: As with Spice and wolve bookworm is a Light novel. The manga is currently very much supplementary material for people who already read the novel. And since different parts of the story are converted parallelly (and by different magakas) it is not possible to follow the story through the manga. In fact the part two manga has already been overtaken by the anime. Second: Length of the story: The anime ends with the fourth and final book of part two, or volume 7 overall, although quite a few parts from this last book where skipped (meaning it is well worth to start a potential read with this volume). Overall, the story spans over 33 volumes not including 3 partially mandatory short story collections to bring the total up to 36. Part 3 consists of 5 volumes, part four of 9 and finally part 5 of 12 books (the seventh of which will be released coming Wednesday. Third: The devouring while it can be controlled is very much a deadly disease for everyone who is unable to access said control. The fanbooks reveal for example that Benno’s girlfriend died from a very weak version of this very illness (this is also the reason why he knew about it in the first place) I really hope someone finds the money to continue this in form of an anime, but this story does not have a good stopping point and a fill adaptation would require next to 200 episodes. Well as you said bookworm takes its time and that means every part is consistently better than the last. Far more than the anime the books invite for rereads as the story chances completely with hindsight. Very nice video overall! Keep up the good work!
@strifessanctum Жыл бұрын
Thank you. I knew Bookworm had some far reaching story beats that weren't dealt with in the anime. Black Butler (a video I'm doing later) was kinda the same way. Too much material to cover in a condensed sort of way. The information is very informative. It is an underrated show to say the least.

@@strifessanctum I believe the issue was that it seems that the staff was so focused on the backstory for these characters that they forgot to properly incorporate the sci-fi elements, granted they introduced some but they were very minor, like the Thomas species that appeared in trigun but that's it, so I believe, if the series was longer and if they established those elements early on the transition wouldn't be as jaring

It's probably something to do with my audio software. It only has a certain level it can go to before it clips. I also don't post process it (to make the audio lauder). Moving around the mic is just how this video is. I was trying to move around and look at the camera and grab the food. Edit: I'm going to find an audio site for free and test it out. As long as it doesn't double or triple my file size (which is a bit much for something this simple), I will at least give it a shot.
