Curious what did you use to teach your girls reading?
@theconleefamily53 ай бұрын
Hi, we have used a handful of curriculums. One of my children is dyslexic so we have a specific curriculum for her that uses the Orton Gillingham method. For my others, we have used the McGuffy Primers and All About Reading.

Finishing out our first full year of Ambleside. Still figuring it out, but it has been rewarding! I find that scheduling the readings throughout the year has been a little challenging. And adding absolutely everything is a challenge. Nature and poetry fell to the wayside a bit. The readings/audios we used we exceptional. Any tips on geography, writing/spelling, dictation?

That really sucks. I bought a smart watch for 90 off marketplace. Met man in tehachapi. He said it needed to be charged but showed that it turned on. Got home and it wouldn't turn on. Messaged him and he said it worked for him just fine the last time he used it and I can't call fossil and maybe they can figure it out. They couldn't help me without mind info and he blocked me. Crazy thing is he had children and seemed like a nice family. Boy was I fooled.

Thank you for the video. I live in a rural area. We have to drive to a city for grocery shopping. It used to take about a 30 minute drive to get groceries. We have the interstate closure problem which causes trucks to be rerouted to the smaller roads and that makes it over an hour trip to a city. We can go west to one city and find Groceries at Walmart, Aldi, Big Lots, and Home Depot. They have lots of empty shelves. We can go North East to a different city and and find Walmart, Aldi, Dollar Tree, and and Rural King. They also have empty shelves. We can go South to another city for Sav A Lot, Dollar General and Dollar Tree. Here lately, The city to the south of us has been well stocked. We can go farther to a bigger city Southwest and they are also stocked. We have not ventured to another city Northwest of us because it is farther away. I am well stocked up on most things right now. I also do not like to pay too much. Walmart has a international/ ethnic grocery aisle where I get the 28 cents for a 7 ounce package of pasta. I got pasta sauce in jars and cartons as well as the just add water powders to make sauce. I have dried vegetables and boullion cubes for a cheap vegetable soup. For storage, I put over the door shoe organizers on the door for the laundry room and filled them with shampoo and body wash. I do need to work on laundry detergent.
@theconleefamily53 жыл бұрын
Those are great recommendations for storage! I’m glad you are stocked up well it’s such a blessing for that to happen. I love that section your talking about at Walmart too. It is very affordable.

That date do NOT mean when it goes bad. It only means it is at its best thru that date. The date system is a manufacturer set up - gets people to buy more. I use to run a food pantry - so I have been educated on this. Do some research on Best By, Use by, ... they mean different things. Great video! Thanks.
