Ingredients • 2 pounds ground beef • 1 large onion, diced • 1 bell pepper (any color), diced • 3 cloves garlic, minced • 1 can (15 oz) kidney beans, drained and rinsed • 1 can (15 oz) black beans, drained and rinsed • 2 cans (15 oz each) diced tomatoes with juice • 1 can (15 oz) tomato sauce • 1/2 cup beef broth or water • 3 tbsp chili powder (adjust to taste) • 1 tbsp ground cumin • 1 tsp smoked paprika • 1 tsp salt (adjust to taste) • 1/2 tsp ground black pepper • 1/2 tsp dried oregano • 1/4 tsp cayenne pepper (optional, for heat) • 1 tsp sugar (optional, to balance acidity) Instructions 1. Brown the Beef: In a large pot or Dutch oven, cook the ground beef over medium-high heat until no pink remains. Drain any excess fat if necessary. 2. Sauté the Vegetables: Add the onion, bell pepper, and garlic to the pot. Sauté until the onions are translucent, about 5 minutes. 3. Add Seasonings: Stir in the chili powder, cumin, smoked paprika, salt, black pepper, oregano, and cayenne (if using). Cook for 1-2 minutes to release the flavors of the spices. 4.
