I had a '61 Impala SS back in the day. The early ones had the "348" and the later ones were the "409". I also had a '62 Impala SS with the "409". Funny thing is..... I contacted Chevrolet (and still have the letter) to find out how many '61 SS cars were built and they couldn't tell me. They didn't know! ;-(

This is wrong info. Suzuki made the TS250 before this bike. It was a dualsport trail bike. To make the RL250 which was RACE LITE 250 they made a bespoke chromoly frame, fork and shock package along with different timing and compression ratio in the engine... They were hand gas welded frames and aluminum gas tanks. Very high tech at the time. My dad bought one new for $725.00 i have the receipt but the bike is long gone. Cheers.
