Drake floods the market with content constantly while Kendrick drops Kendrick drops once every two to five years then in between releases may do a feat here and there. If we are both top tier artists but you put out songs and singles once every couple of months I put out songs once every couple of years who’s gonna have more music charting on the billboard obviously you.

Drake should've beefed with Kendrick after Control and BET Cypher. He was publicly upset about it and never did anything but shade Ken and sneak dissed. But beefed with everybody else while still subbing. Ken retaliates with his own and drake never name dropped. We can say drake put people on all we want, which he did in a sense not taking that away from him. But being the man everyone respects is different from being “the boy” people get popping off of don’t make you any less of a hoe ass nigga. if your character is always being questioned. Almost similar to the “snobby, entitled, rich boy who nobody likes but people hang with him cause he pays them to” character archetype. Clout is powerful drug, and when it’s met with power and resources, with no checks and balances, it becomes the whole personality of the offender, and ultimately (like now) ushers in their own demise.

I’ve always thought this whole beef started because of that line, specifically for Kendrick.Everyone was cool with Aubrey playing his part as the pop star who came around every once in a while because it was a symbiotic relationship. That slave line was a sign of disrespect to the lineage of the people who created this art form and let him in…so now it’s time for a public chastisement.
