So fucking stupid that they make us look this shit up. Why can't they just say "UPI # (or Case ID #)"? I'll tell you why, because the government is incapable of doing anything right, and as a governing body, they lack total common sense.

If you applied online, then clicking Applications will show you the Case ID number.

Trimming down a care plan is not in the best interest of the facility. Why does she want to do this? Does she fear that these care plans could be flagged because she doesn't feel they are not being followed by the staff? CMS will want to know what is being done for the spiritual, physical, and mental well-being of a resident as well as the medical care a resident receives so activities, nutrition, and discharge planning are important as well. All these issues interact with each other. Leaving out certain aspects of a resident care plan could impact the MDS process by affecting quality measure and nursing home rating. Since the CMS surveys are targeting MDS focused care and you get it wrong, due to trimming of the care plan, the facility could face a daily fine until it is corrected. Why wait until then when the facility should get it right the first time? The last thing a facility needs is an IJ to add to its list because a care plan wasn't initiated for the care of a resident. Communication breakdown has harmed many in the past. Sounds like your DON needs a bit of education. Stand your ground for your residents. They deserve better in those golden years.

But if you can't see, you also wouldn't be able to read a description...

@@fuzzyotterpaws4395 That seems logical, but my computer/phone/tablet, has a screen reader. It can read text, identify buttons and other controls, and read KZbin descriptions. 😎 If you google VoiceOver, for example, you can see it in action. When I was a kid, specialized hardware and software were required, but today things from TVs to chrome books and computers running Windows and MacOS have built in screen readers.

@@arcanelyCryptic That's absolutely right. computers running one of the big four operating systems have accessability features baked in. Basically, it can read anything textual, or with propertys that tell the screen reader what the item is. Unfortunately, though it can read text, it can't handle pictures of text. The tech for that is improoving, but it’s not ready for video yet.

@@pyography I'm very hopeful for visual aids in this way, its truly come so far. ❤ I imagine in the next 5 years well get far better play-by-play for videos coming too, especially since we're building text recognition into base phones and generic tech more and more. It sucks beyond belief nevada is so far behind in tech. It seems like vegas and reno are the ONLY places that get any kind of up-to-date tech, and even then thats pushing it. Most resources and sites here are so beyond far behind and archaic.
