Cobra systems are amazing.. I bought my first module in 2014 and have been adding modules a little at a time since.. Not only do they have a great product but their customer service is top-notch.

Cobra is overpriced and problematic. Mjg ematch is getting insanely priced. The combo is a disaster.

Curious why the timing was so off while using the audio box. Was under the assumption the audio box’s purpose was to avoid that.

My next purchase..... but an endorsement for Cobra gear... I had an 18M take a flower potted shell last night at a barge show and it melted a 4" hole into the SeaHorse case. The heat melted the 7-12 cue and 13-18 cue Ethernet slats but the unit was working fine! It booted right back up after a power cycle! I was astonished. Cobra builds good gear....not to mention their excellent tech support! This silicon boot probably would have saved my Mod.

Hey, on my computer I choose USB audio device to send smpt to 18R2, but I didn't have sound on my sono. we don't hear the music of the show. i Put a mini jack on my head phone output. do i need to connect the Left cable wich come from te cobra usb soundcard ? It means that I don't have stereo output , so ?

Good morning, Can you show how to desynchronize everything because the procedure detailed in the user guide does not work! I tried holding the sync button for 15 seconds as described with no success version 5.1.2

If you had a safety spotter holding the deadmans switch and someone manually advancing the show with the 18R2, would releasing the deadmans switch override the manual "step" of the 18R2?

Not sure if anyone will see this but in this video you ask "what would you like to see Cobra make".... I got ya.... An R2 holster. When firing with a deadmans switch it would be nice to be able to walk around the show and have that other hand free. Thanks for your awesome product and support.

I was the highest bidder on a show, and got to press the button to start the que. They were using all cobra equipment, and that was a killer show!

On alternate firing, just make sure you fire all alternates within the time frame of your script. I tried to time a few salutes as alternates at the very end of script right after the very last item on the script fired. But the script had ended, and it wouldn't allow me to fire the alternate! What I should have done was place a few dummy cues at the very end of script to give me time to fire those last alternates. Just a heads up!

So how do you add in the time for the fusing? I.e. you have a cake and it's 30 seconds long. How do you add in the initial 3-5 seconds from fuse ignition to the first tube firing?

Michael, you can add pre fire time, but most professional cakes, shells and single shots are instant. They are built with quick match that fires instantly. In the event you want to add pre-fire time, (say for shell lift time before the break) there is a feature for that in the menu. Igniter Pre-Fire Time is actually one of the columns in the user interface. If you add 1.8 seconds of prefire time, that will fire the cue 1.8 seconds before that beat in the music.
