I saw them on this website for a good Price vqfanatics.com/products/2014-2017-q50-led-emblem If you have a mesh grill the plat piece emblem is what you need if your putting it on a OEM grill you have to buy the emblem that pops out. Great video. I am wondering if there are 2 types of CV axle for the 2005 G35x. One type looks like what you have in the video. The other is longer and both ends have splines. Is this correct? And you have the option to use either type? Please help. I am confused. Because I just bought one and it does not look like what you have in the video. it's the one where both ends have splines.

@@GIOVANNITH3G35FAN Thank you for your reply. Yes it is. I already removed 5 bolts, but the sixth one I havent been able to remove because the head has become stripped. If what I stated above is correct, then I don't reallly need to remove that last bolt, but take out the the whole assembly. And many sites state that axle where both ends have splines would fit my car. Some other sites would indicate that the one that looks like what you have would fit. So I'm really confused.

@imfine-ok1536 if the bolt pattern is like how mine is in the video with 6 bolts then more then likely it's gonna be the same as what I have. Honestly the best thing to do is try to remove the whole axle to make sure it's the right axle. I was confused when I saw that too and was confused cause I was like how does the axle work if one side has a spline and the other side is flat. But it made sense after I removed the axle being that the bolts is was makes the axle move

@@GIOVANNITH3G35FAN HI Its me again. I think the type of CV axle you used in the in the video is one of the 2 options that you can use to change your CV axle. For the type that you used on your car, the other part ( the shaft with splines is lelft inside the differential housing, don't know what they call them ). For the other kind, the entire cv axle assembly is removed as a whole unit. No old part is left in the car. I just removed the other section of the cv axle assembly. I told you that I could not remove one of the 6 bolts. I wasted a lot of time and money buying tools to try the remove that last bolt. To remove the axle, all I needed to do was removing 3 bolts that hold it in place. No need to deal with those 6 bolts. Just sharing what I did in case you or someone else might have to change 2005 G35 AWD or some other G35 models. But I could be wrong though. .

Those 3 bolts your talking about are they located after the 6 bolts? I'm trying to figure out where the 3 bolts your talking about are. I rewatched the video and noticed bolts after the 6 bolts but even then if you removed that whole piece would the new CV axle have a new part to mount the 3 bolts your talking about

It's something I added. I had the bottom plate to support the battery but never had a bracket to keep it from moving

I have megan coil overs not sure if im sitting to low but my passenger side axle keeps breaking coming apart from backend of the cv axle by the tranny not sure if theres alot of weight on it but as sson as i pull out the parking spot turning the wheel completely and come out shit just comes apart and i hear a big thud in your recent video i see your sitting low tho

Hope that does it chief. When you was describing the power loss, it reminded me of the exact same thing that happened to my G 35. However, in my case, it was the alternator. Tiedowns are definitely good to have.👍🏾

Yeah the moment I saw that the car was still running with the battery disconnect and was getting the right voltage when the alternator was on. I knew it couldn't be the alternator. Yeah tie down is a great piece to have on your G

Nice bro!!!🙌🙌 and it’s a good thing to have the battery tie down too cuz in some cases if you don’t; the battery movement will cause connections coming loose.

If your lights are not coming on at all, its not the alternator. The battery alone will power on your dash lights.

Seems more like loose or bad connection. Maybe bad terminal too. This is why I have a volt gauge on a charge port just to monitor it

The 2nd voltage test you ran when the car could not power up is incorrect. The alternator didn't have the power to generate the expected voltage increase as you could not switch the engine on to key position 1/2. Have you checked the grounds? Are they all clean and tight? It's a little strange that it is intermittent. I would only use a Nissan alternator. I bought a re-manufactured one from eBay. It was a waste of time. Although the battery light went out, checking the voltages showed that it did not actually charge the battery.

Naw haven't checked that I was going to have to lift up the car and check the connection on the alternator. Also what I've heard is Nissan alternators are the best. The one I have is from AutoZone. Got it like 4 years ago

@@GIOVANNITH3G35FAN Yes, give it a go. Pretty sure when I had my alternator issue, it was combined with a bad ground too which made it more difficult for me to resolve. It does appear that your alternator is working, but it did fluctuate a bit. It'd be interesting to see if it was more stable with an OEM one.
