80's best, we know everyone's phone number and visit relatives often. Movies were the best ever produced. VH1 and MTV plays nothing but music.

I remembered in 1975 in San Antonio a grocery store called Skagg Alpha Beta until 1982 return there and it changed to Albertsons. In mid 70’s in Portsmouth, Virginia Food Fair in mall until 1980 it was gone. Currently Big Star Foods, and A&P are gone too.

The Walkman was actually simpler and easier. All you had to do was plug headphones in and put the tape in and press Play. Back in those days, you can visually see that your headphones are connected instead of assuming they’re connected wirelessly and have your music awkwardly play on full blast for everyone to hear

The 80's were more intolerant than now. Being gay and in high school wasn't fun. A gay dude in the 80's was a nightmare. I wish I could be born now. It wouldn't be so difficult. Just Say No! I'd like to zap into a future in which donald trump doesn't exist and people treat each other with compassion & decency. A dream world until trump is gone.

Actually spanking kids was technically a form of discipline for when a kid misbehaves or acts up as a Christian kid growing up back then that was the only way of discipline because a spank on the butt would remind you not to be disrespectful or disobedient I would know all about that I was raised in a Christian home

I miss those days when you only saw white people everywhere, and that they were healthy & not obese. All you see today is fat gross entitled, narcissistic, prideful, pathetic dark skin ugly immigrants, I feel sad for white kids today.

they showed boy George in the 1960s well he was born in 61 but was only 9 when the 60s left. he was a 1980s . seems it talked of bare midriffs for females but started in 50s but by mid 1965 most teen to 20s and some even older ware it all summer any time warm enough and mostly braless . but overall didn't do bad . now exclude the extremes and put a middle class girs pic from then into street scen today ot a teen today in a 1960s scene there's quite alike. long straight hair most love short shorts and sandals or bare feet and even tee and tanks were similar . unfortunately the over 18 in today like to graffiti there bodies with terrible tattoos. worst thing in the late 60s inti early 70 was extreme bell bottoms trying to outdo how wide and frayed warn bottoms got no one looks good in more than slight flairs

Although we never got to try an Arthur Treacher's Fish and Chips in my home town we did have the wonderful H. Salt Esquire brand which was always a treat! There is still an A & W standing restaurant down the peninsula from me that's combined with a Kentucky Fried Chicken! I have it on my list of places to try one of these days!

Not that long ago I got a Jarts T-shirt with the classic box logo on it! Closest thing to my ever having or playing with those things! Haha! One time as a teenager my parents dragged me on a road trip early and I had stayed up late the night before. I took a blanket and slept in the back of our Buick Sport Wagon with the back seat folded down! Lucky my dad was a safe driver!

In northern California for roughly 30 years we had Fry's Food and Drug. Founded by Donald Fry in 1954. In the 80s his sons wanted to start up Fry's Electronics and technically be a separate entity, but they kept the same sign font! I used to laugh about it because the supermarket had a happy grocery bag mascot, but the electronics had a happy microchip that pretty much looked the same! Haha!

The part about "Models were not inclusive" is of course true, however the mindset behind embracing everyone despite their looks doesn't hold up in business. Every company knows all too well that it's bad for sales to use advertisements displaying fat or otherwise physically unattractive persons promoting their products. As for the 1980's mainly using white models, it's interesting that the African American women that are considered the most beautiful, are almost exclusively the ones with part Caucasian / White descent - not just from a White male's perspective, but evident from successful African American men's choice of partner.
