This is a deeply spirit laden place and I used to own a gentleman's farm not far away. I should have stayed put. There are nearly a thousand beautiful gorges in the Finger Lakes, but Watkin's Glen is the Grandmother of them all. The idiots concentrating on I-phone photos might better have stayed home and watched your video instead. I did and am grateful for your effort. Still don't believe in the power of Mother Nature and the long time? Thank you for this gift! Namaste'

The absolutely only time of year to visit. The rest of the time it's dry, barren with no shade, whatsoever. CVL will also charge you to hike the path around it. I live nearby, and all around us were hills covered in poppies. Miles and miles of them. Enjoy!

I used to work for MWD. We'd have the road to ourselves during times like these, driving our work van on the dirt road. Talk about a job plus. Note: we stayed on road and trail.

The scenery just makes me want to rent a car here in Southwest Florida and drive all the way out there just to see the beauty. I wonder how much longer it's going to last maybe the first or second week of May?
