what's even sadder is the realization that leaving that family (of that women and her daughter ) was probably the best decision he made throughout the story .

When I was learning a certain piano piece, I kept thinking of this anime, these scenes... And the time is almost a perfect fit (2:57) with this AMV: kzbin.info/www/bejne/iJaQlqhvpsSsi7c (Mendehlsson's Op. 30 no.6) I'm really amazed by how it fits the atmosphere here. Even the pacing. Thanks for uploading this, it's not an anime I'd rewatch but it definitely changed me.

The novel is a masterpiece. I love the anime adaptations, but when you read the book, lines hit so hard, you get to to stop and try to breathe. Dazai was/ is so relatable in every society, no matter the year.
