Acho que descobri o meu segundo instrumento musical favorito. O som é envolvente do começo ao fim e fica ainda melhor no final, estava procurando por algo assim a tempos!! :)

You guys rock!!! I had no clue who you guys were when I watch your videos on you tube, but I have to tell you that what a impact you guys will make in the industry that only a few get to benefit from. I've been a musician for 30 + years & I've always believed that you can never stop learning no matter if they are younger or older than you. I'm 54 & was blown away with your talent. Keep rockin & you definitely have a new fan of your musicianship.

this is an amazing transcription of this piece, i have implimented some of it into my solos in jazz, and even have been piecing together a piece with some of the parts that i like the most. I hope to try and get a few parts from 7train, but overall, i love these two, as a bari sax player, i look up to leo p and hope i can one day do the things that he does. thank you for this amazing transcription.

You know, as an indvidual that has played the bari sax before it always kinda pained me to hear leo just honk the heck out of it. This on the other hand, this is nice, still got a bit of his honky style, but is far more clean and enjoyable to me.

Ok this transcription is absolutely insane, and I love it. But a question, transcriptions are either for you to play along to or just see what notes they're playing but around 90% of the time it's because you wanna play it. and I would love to just push myself to the limits with how long I can play and maybe even put it on a loop and do it over and over again. But unfortunately, the transcription is a bit behind in the video, you have to wait around a half second before it goes the the next 4 measures of music. A good example of this is 18:54, and I don't know about anyone else but that sets you back. And there is no way I could ever memorize this in my lifetime as an intermediate saxophonist. So, I'm kindly requesting maybe just a more lined up re-upload of this so that me and or other players can play this awesome piece without being behind on anything. I would really appreciate it if you could but if not, that is totally fine and completely understandable! :) Have a good day!

Hi there! That's totally fair, thanks for pointing it out. We will try to re-upload this in the future. That said, you could also purchase the transcription from the link in the description - with that you'll get an interactive transcription player where there is a cursor that is completely lined up with what is being played, and it's easier to browse the lead sheet. 🙌🙌 Thanks for watching 💖💖

@@saxyschool Oh wow, I wasn't expecting a response since this was posted over a year ago. Thanks so much! I would have usually bought the sheet music but I'm currently saving up for a new graphics card and I'm restricting myself so that I can keep saving up while still buying things. Once again, thank you for this! ♥

So cool! What a treat! One day when the stars align (and one of these sessions isn’t at 4am Australia time 🤪) I’d love to catch up with everyone in real time again and meet some of the new faces. Loved everyone’s performances here, especially that cranking first tune Mehdi! Woohoo!!! 👏 Great work Julian you’re becoming such a pro so quickly! 😍 I so love the diversity of musical styles we get to experience in Saxy School. Always inspiring. And I got the trivia questions right too! 🤩

Thanks for the sweet sweet video and sharing your talent with us all! I'd love to see a making of video. Curious about so many things. Like how does something like this get recorded, how does it get transcribed (by hand or machine?), someone in the main video mention the drum track - do you add it in afterwards, and what is the small line/rope coming out from under your shirt LeoP? Saw you with 2 Many Zooz in Asheville NC and have always loved your playing. TY and love!

Thanks Christopher! We'll make a "making of" video for a future jam! To answer some of your questions: This was recorded on a Panasonic GH5 + Sennheiser MKE440. Transcribed by hand by Wesley Chin. We decided to add drums after to see how it would come out - also done manually by @amacthemusician. Leo is wearing a saxophone harness that secures around the belt loop - and that string attaches to the neck strap loop on the sax to keep it extra secure.

@@saxyschool Yeah super cool and thanks for the details. It blows my mind how awesome people are :) It is interesting that people thought this was recorded in Studio, but when listening to the quiet parts you can hear the traffic... Seems legit :)
