Maybe add some door mechanism on the sides! (As hard/impossible as that may be), or if you have one, a screen to put destinations on.
@MaxProduction1612 күн бұрын
I think openable doors are out of the question, I could probably spend months trying to come up with a design but I can already say that it would be extremely bulky. As for destos and PIDs, I put a layer of transparent tiles on the front as a pseudo-desto and I also experimented with one on the side but that didn't eventuate. Years ago I experimented with adding working destos to my trains so maybe I can restart that experiment.

@MaxProduction16Ай бұрын
I'll take that as a compliment however I do not see myself working at Lego considering that they do not usually look for the sort of things I enjoy designing when picking designers, plus I don't really fancy moving half way across the world. It's nice to think what if though

@blumetech99Ай бұрын
That new tram is so easy to mod with some extra cool details in the carriages. That’s like my favorite thing to do with Lego trains is deck the carriages out with some decorative pieces. Slick design, comes with a way cooler station than the express passenger 😂 and it’s under 100 bucks. Lego, do this with more of your train products please.

I love your model of the British Brecknell Willis high-reach pantograph, IMHO modern Lego train pantographs are not as good as the ones they did in the 90s,
@MaxProduction16Ай бұрын
Is that what it's called? I never would have known, even though I think a good pantograph makes a build. And yeah, the modern Lego pantographs are a bit off, personally I think they are way too thick and inarticulate.

@@MaxProduction16 Absolutely it helps finish it off. On older trams they often used a trolley pole instead.

My problem with Lego trams is, that they are harder to motorize, because they often use these small wheels. Trains are already motorized or with motorisation in mind.
@MaxProduction162 ай бұрын
That is an issue with them, although it does lead to creative solutions for motorisations which are always fun to see
