Mr. Borland, your guitar does not look like crap. It is an extension of who you are and you also re-did it to your specifications. I have a King V Pro that I modified and to me it does not look like crap. I really love the look and also admire the heart and soul you put into this guitar that was rejected. Your king V is not only your own personalized, but it is a work of art in my opinion. It shows the genius that you are. Keep doing what your doing.

I had heard Hendrix being criticized for not being true blues. The truth is, he, himself said that blues bored him. He was, as a sort of life mission statement said he wanted to find a sound he had not heard before; he certainly went a long way toward that.

I actually liked the slowed down version. It makes for a good soundtrack for that ubiquitous slow motion walking scenes that you see typically see in Michael Bay movies. 😂

He is my favorite guitarist . Listen to those riffs in Solway Firth. It is a bit difficult to cancel out those vocals and drums, which are also fabulous...but when I tell you those guitar riffs are mesmerizing; blast in my car every day. To die for. He's always been great. Even when I was a tiny thing...playing percussion, oboe, english horn, clarinet. Could never really grasp guitar. I love him even more for that. He is FFFAABBB!77777

One thing I havent figured out, is why artists that love to tinker, cut, test, and experiment... limit themselves to commercial offerings, and then adjust. Build your own from scratch. There is endless information on building your own. Even if they are not seasoned woodworkers, you can buy high end generic bodies, and necks, to craft the exact guitar you want. Its what I did. And I am a former military aircraft electrician, whose day job is now in the IT software world. Its really not too difficult to get a good result.

so glad to see that this video is still online. I remember trying to figure out and spending time thinking about why jrock and pop punk sounded different, which led me to learning about and understanding chord progressions and stuff, and then finding this video back then felt like a validating and confirming kind of "oh, so this IS a thing! and somebody else is talking about and is explaining what I was trying so hard to figure out" way back when all I knew were pop punk power chords and barre chords. love it

I am pretty sure this man is a genius. You hear it in the way he talks. The insights he shares. The way he looks at things, and draws parrallels, often between seemingly unconnected things.
