Tungsten is an element, it can't be trademarked/patented etc. They give it that name because it's an alloy - a combination of different things, that uses tungsten.

Hi Gale, long time no see. Have any new video ideas to share? I have not been doing as much trike travel lately, having hunkered down during covid to stay healthy, but still doing local rides. You must be sweltering in the heat there with this massive heat wave hitting so many locales! You look very cool, or at least as cool as one can be under the circumstances. It must be nice to be able to dress like that while triking ... it's almost always too chilly for me here at the ocean to wear my sleeveless tops on a ride. I think your flag is great for alerting motorists with its multi-colored design and individual sections that flutter. Well, just wanted to check in and say hello! Take it easy! steve

If some of you are wondering why I haven't brought out a new video recently is because I had brain surgery and I am on a slow mend.

I've had my Rocket for 13 months. I've put 1700 blacktop miles on it. I keep the speed setting at 5 and mostly use the throttle but pedal assist on upgrades and hills and get 25 miles on full charge. Less in stop and go traffic. My mileage has actually improved from under 20 miles per full charge to 25+ miles. Idk why, but it's true. When I got my rocket didn't have the camouflage paint option. Is that something you did yourself? I'm assuming that it is something you did like a wrap or something like that if you could give me some information about that that'd be great. I'm Abt to change the rear brake pads for the 2nd time. I go with resin pads because they're more quiet. They don't last as long, but 2 times per year is not cost prohibitive to me. After 1700 miles my tires are still in good shape. My front tire is showing more wear than the rear. The rear looks almost new. You're not wrong about the height either. I'm 5'7" but my legs are long for my height. I still tiptoe the ground when seated on my ventilated after market memory foam saddle. The height was not even on my list of considerations when I ordered the bike, but I've managed to avoid any injuries to the jewels. I guess my main issue with the bike would be it doesn't have full suspension and that's just a personal thing for me because of my back and other issues that I have physically and I'm going to want to be getting a trailer to pull behind it and I don't think that the 500 watt 36v combo is going to get it. I weigh 170lbs and I'll be wanting to pull close to 100lbs. The owners manual rates it for not more than 250 lb rider. I've started researching putting a 48 volt battery on it but there may be issues with putting that many volts on the controller that's on the bike now. So I may be upgrading to a more powerful 750 or 1000 watt bike but this is been a good first electric bike. Just fyi, I've heard Ecotric uses generic battery packs, but I can tell you my experience. Several times I've forgotten to lock the battery in place and if you don't have any bumps that's fine but if you hit a bump in the road it will come off and mine has come off going 25 miles an hour or 23 or whatever top speed is come off and bounce as you can imagine off the pavement with no problems. I've done that three times that I can remember and it works fine in fact it seems that the mileage is cutting better.

I am in exactly the same situation with cycles. I love my ICE Adventure HD 26 trike - so far %100 human-powered - and my wife and I just bought RadExpand 5s. Experiencing the e-assist on the Rad will hopefully encourage me to keep my trike pure, so to speak. But for zipping around with my wife to who knows where, the e-bike is great. Which cycle do I choose as my default morning before work and weekend ride? The ICE.

Bravo my friend.. well done. I so appreciate your honesty as you.. tell it like it is; as well, you being very informative and clear. I too like those.."running lights" on the bottom. Also, it sitting higher (more visible) to traffic... do you have a horn? I'd like to get me one.. if I can keep it below... how much, 15 mph. Remember when we're kids and built go-carts w/ our old man handing down a good runnin 5 hp Briggs and Stratton off a lawn mower... going 15 mph felt like 50 more like, so close to the ground. Oh yeah, those were the days, ouch.

I scream loud for my horn. If you get a chance, watch Part-1, it shows my little bell. it's only a few inches higher and not for being any better. The flag does that. But it makes it easier to get in and out of the trike big time. Ride Safe

I just did a test ride on one of these. I was really wanting to check out the Eco Tad, but the shop only had the EZ. It was the first recumbent trike I have ridden. I was impressed with how responsive the steering was; I had trouble with the twist shifter, though. The build quality seemed fantastic.
@nativedesertrider4392
@nativedesertrider4392 2 жыл бұрын
The twist shifter does take a little time to get used to on which way is up and which way is down, but after a bit, you will remember. I could never see what gear I was in with the twister though, and I go by feel. Keep in mind that the Eco Tad is only a 7-speed trike and you test rode on a 24 speed with the SX model. The SX model has direct steering and can turn on a dime, and you have to be careful at high speeds. One more thing on the ECO Tad. The seat sits on a single tube to hold the seat up and I honestly feel in time it will structurally fail or get wobbly. The SX model is still adjustable but sits on the frame for better support. Depending on where you live, the 24 speed would be better and you do have a wider range of gears to pick from, but that of course is up to you. Thank you for the comment and Ride Safe. @nativedesertrider4392

Thank you for your curiosity. I wear a mask all the time due to Allergies and upper respiratory and not because of covid. If the wind is calm, I will lower it partially. We get wind storms all the time out here in the desert, and the wind carries massive dust and sand. The winds come at a moment's notice and that's the reason. The Mask is on for allergies and not covid. Yes, I am vaccinated.

@@johnsonpaul1914 I get weird looks from people when I have the mask on outdoors. As I said, it has nothing to do with covid. 50 mph wind gusts yesterday and that means sand and dust. A lot of people don't wear masks in this area and then they wonder why their lungs hurt or get upper respiratory problems. Thanks for your comment.
