Agreed. Biking, hiking, boating, paddleboarding... There are so many great things to do outdoors in Austin.

I'm not a developer, but I certainly appreciate your point. I've been in Austin since 1988, so I understand how much the urban neighborhoods have changed. I still love 78702 and 78722 though.

Good point Urvish. The populations of those counties continue to grow, and many of the people leaving Austin are moving into the outlying counties for many of the reasons discussed in the video.

IMO - Bastrop is rapidly changing. It is transforming from a charming area to an Austin bedroom community. It's getting very expensive to find reasonable housing. You can research what I am saying - Google it.

The I-35 expansion project is going to be a challenge for the next few years. Hopefully it helps remediate some of the congestion by removing the huge bottleneck between Hwy 290 and Hwy 71 on I-35.

@@realtexashomes the entire I35 in Texas is a disaster and it all seems like a bottle neck lol

@@ericnewman6523 100%. There is a big project they're starting to expand on, the I-35, but I don't know if it will solve much at this point.

IMO - You can add U.S. Route 290 and Texas State Highway 71 to that mess. We were just there, and it was very stressful. It was impossible to drive the speed limit, because aggressive drivers would push you over.

Lots of people agree with you. I try and keep an open mind as I can understand why so many people are leaving California.

I hear you Christian. Home values exploded in Austin during the pandemic. At the same time, there are some affordable options if you don't need to be in the city. Central Texas is a special place and people are willing to pay a bit of a premium to live here. There are options in Austin for under $300/sq ft that are great areas. And even more options in that range when you push a little farther out. Let's connect and talk more.
