Questo cane è un Whippet Bully. Per chi conosce la genetica e la studia per il benessere degli animali è un'aberrazione. Sono cani risultati da accoppiamento per avere Whippet con struttura muscolare più forte per le corse (1 cane su 4 ha questa struttura se vengono accoppiati portatori sani di quella mutazione genetica). Il Whippet Bully è un cane che soffre di crampi muscolari e la quantità di muscoli può causare gravi problemi respiratori a causa di compressione della gabbia toracica, i movimenti sono ridotti e ha tendenza a stancarsi rapidamente. Se fosse per la selezione naturale non esisterebbe. Il Whippet Bully è un danno collaterale degli allevatori di whippet da corsa, non apporta niente per le gare di velocità e li vendono come speciali. Peccato che causa solo disagio al cane. Non sopporto video come questi che fanno sembrare una mutazione genetica così dolorosa per il cane come se fosse la cosa più bella del mondo. Faccio però i complimenti alla proprietaria, perché nonostante tutto ha deciso di prenderlo con sé e occuparsi di questo cane.

i had a fawn whippet dog exactly the same bred from the "good as gold" line he was from racing and field stock but was useless for either because of this !
