Awesome! One of the highlights of my life was getting to touch and make noise on the Buchla at the Columbia-Princeton center in NYC. BTW, the sound of you video here makes a great background music for this video on cleaning windshields: kzbin.info/www/bejne/l6msZn-rrJV4pdU

Always love watching your interesting and groovy electronic music videos. Razor sharp clarity in your vivid productions. I admire your proficiency and skills. You certainly know how to entertain in a delightful manner, sir. You sure have some incredible hardware synthesizers. I've sold all my hardware Moogs, Rolands, Arturias, Pittsburgh Modular, Akai Force, etc. because I'm now using iPad Pro synthapps exclusively. I've turned the cash into organic food and books of Orthodox ascetic desert monk teachings and other devout texts to enrich my spiritual life. Remix Live and Novation Launchpad are my primary synthapps now.

I sorry. I thought you were talking about the tune. No I didn’t build this instrument. This is a Buchla Music Easel. It’s a recreation of a synthesizer built in the early seventies. I recorded this on an apogee duet into my computer.

That was rather lovely Joel. My initial disappointment that there was no ARP Solus on this track didn't last for very long! Great to hear the MS20 being used to make beautiful sounds instead of the searingly aggressive type sounds that most people seem compelled towards. Also some nicely expressive playing on the Prodigy around the 7:18 mark. Out of curiosity, can I ask you why you didn't actually use the Solus on this track? I'm close to buying a Solus for the second time but having some doubts about it. I let it go before because I found its default sound to be very wild, aggressive and difficult to tame and make sound "beautiful". Given the choice of a Solus or Pro One, which would you choose? One last thing: the pad sound at the end is gorgeous; what synth is that?
@joelizquierdo8624 Жыл бұрын
It was inspired from a Jam I did using the ARP Solus.
@joelizquierdo8624 Жыл бұрын
I would go with the PRO One. I played one in Austin and loved it. The pad I used at the end is Omnisphere on my Roli. The Korg MS 20 is getting its grid from the SOMA Lyra 8 in which it has a distortion feature. Thank you so much for your feedback.

You and I just love jamming on our synths every day. You have much talent, a keen musical sensibility, and a distinct knack for orchestrating techno-electro configurations. Unlike so many artists, you keep your flow changing and evolving, not stagnating in monotony.
