I've read WISHTREE. Not my favorite but I can see why many love it. Not a huge Barbara O'Connor fan. I did read WONDERLAND but kids have been recommending I try WISH, so maybe I will. Definitely want to read Hannah Gold!

@ By the way, if you like graphic novels, probably you’ll enjoy The Tea Dragon Society by Kay O'Neill 😊 I’m not much into this genre, but this one was pretty cute 😊👋🐾

As always, a great review. My 11 year old daughter and I both loved this book - we talked a lot about what happened, and it also was a good 'reference' to compare my daughter's school friends to the characters in the book. It helped us to have a fictional character to use as an example of what a read/good friend would look (and not look) like.

Thanks for the recommendations. I am at a K-8 and it is hard to balance the reading needs of the lower school and the jr high kids. It is also a challenge to provide more mature reading for 7/8 while choosing appropriate material for say, 4-6th. I subscribe to your blog and find it informative and helpful.
