I have been hurt by people who justified the pain they caused as God's love. But it didn't feel that way. I would like to believe that God is love and i would like to let go of the resentment and anger I feel, but it is hard.

I have felt the same way! I completely understand you sister in Christ. I have found that forgiveness sets me free! It's a process. I believe what sets us free from resentment is emotional healing. Each time we think of that hurtful thing and we forgive, we get better and better. Jesus understands, He experienced all of that hurt and pain too. God loves you. Praise Jesus... God does love you! But do you love God? Do you obey God? King David warned Solomon... [1 Chronicles 28:9 ESV] 9 “And you, Solomon my son, know the God of your father and serve him with a whole heart and with a willing mind, for the LORD searches all hearts and understands every plan and thought. If you seek him, he will be found by you, but if you forsake him, he will cast you off forever. Don't read John 3:16... unless you will also read John 3:17-19. Repent, trust Jesus and you will be saved. He heals all who confess/ admit they are broken.

God is love. But we also need to hear that God is Holy, righteous, and just. We all have fallen short. There is none righteous, no not one. There is no one that has NEVER sinned EXCEPT Jesus Christ. He alone is the sinless, spotless, lamb of God. Since Jesus Christ is fully God and fully man, only He was able to pay the price for our sins. The wages of sin is death. But the gift of God is eternal life. Jesus took the punishment for all of our sins. When Jesus died on the cross, He died in our place. We were going to die in our sins and go straight to hell. But God made a way of escape for us through Jesus death, burial and resurrection. That's why when Jesus preached, He spoke more about hell than heaven. Jesus was sounding the alarm! We were all heading to hell. But because of Jesus sacrificial death, no one has to go. Hell is a place that was created for the devil, the fallen angels, and all unrepentant sinners. Psalms 7:11 says. "God is a just judge, and God is angry with the wicked every day." If we only focus on God's love, we may have a false sense of security. We may think that we are safe from hell. We are all God's creation. But we are NOT all God's children. If we don't understand that we need to sincerely repent of our sins, and ask God to forgive us, then we won't. We'll keep on living a lifestyle of sin and think it's okay because "God is love." If we don't understand that we need to ask God to save us, then we won't. If we don't ask God to forgive us and to save us, we'll be lost. We will be in danger of hearing "Depart from me I never knew you." God is faithful and just to forgive us for our sins and cleanse us from ALL unrighteousness. He is also faithful to save us when we ask to be saved. The Word of God also says in Romans 10:9-10 " that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. 10 For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation." This is how we become children of God. This is how we will experience God's love for eternity.

I know from what you have presented that you have gone through some ups and downs over the years. Thank you so much for checking in on me! I have taken some time off from KZbin to focus on my mental health. And I'm also working on a project, which I will reveal in a month or so. In order to get the project done on time I had to focus all my attention on it, and take time away from KZbin. The weather has been warm and sunny here too. I love the sun when I'm not directly in it. I'm kind of a lightweight when it comes to overheating. ☀️
