I expected sulfur to be much quicker and silicon to be much slower. I too like the calm tall flames of sawdust. I tried potassium citrate too but the reaction was too weak to be worth showing, the flames were a nice pink-red though. I also tried potassium benzoate but it only gave quick orange flames.

He would be the one making sarcastic clever jokes that would run circles around the family’s head. In this video, he is the one being circled around with sarcasm. Obviously, Seth knew he had to evolve Brian. He couldn’t just be a wise dog for 10 seasons. So he evolved him to being a fairly intelligent but dysfunctional underachiever, a phoney and a hypocrite. It was a nice transition and made his character more realistic.*

@@JoakimfromAnka I tried to do it recently, it burned down almost instantly and the flame is not really visible. You can add PVC, it will burn just a little longer, and the color will be saturated due to chlorine :)

Some fuels make colors, others don't. I don't know why. Sugar gives red. Sawdust gives red-orange. Dextrin gives orange. Al and Mg gives a little bit of pale red, while Ti and Si gives white.

Yes. Ti makes both oxide and nitride when burning in air. I think the K2O produced also serves as an oxidizer.
