Grandparents had this for about a year before it broke. They replaced it with a sanyo which was better in every way. The amstrad had no viewfinder screen it was absolutely pants.🤣😎❤️👍

All of Amstrad's products cost mere pennies to make in China, inflated by shipping duty, import duty and VAT when it got to the UK. Cheap and cheerless with middling to poor performance and poor value for money after the extortionate price you pay for the product(s).

My brother got one of these in the late 80's. He was maybe 15 or 16 years old, I was 8 or 9. I remember it had a sticker on the side that said like: 'Warning Do Not Open. Living Parts Inside.' It scared the crap out of me. I thought there was an animal living in that thing. Anyway, at the time we had some great fun with it. Made some mixes and we recorded our voices. Now it's just collecting dust on my mom's attic.

4:34-4:39 Lord Sugar was able to express public opinion and feeling in an intelligent, non-controversial way long before we became publicly and vocally more patriotic. I remember using this line when there was a debate on multiculturalism at work when everyone was too scared to say anything other than how amazing and great it was! How things have changed...

The sound from the tape decks wasn't brilliant, they used cheap tape heads, and you could only use Type I Ferric cassettes, not Chrome / High Bias or Metal cassettes to make better quality recordings on and it didnt have Dolby noise reduction either to reduce hiss on recordings.

I bought one of these new in 1988 for 100 quid when I was 17. At a what every woman wants. I'm now 47 and use Logic Pro with a mac and every musical tool at my fingertips that you could think of. This thing was an introduction to multitracking and was priceless to a skint teenager. It was a god awful, poorly built piece of shit but it did eveything that was claimed. And you could bounce your tracks and get up to ten tracks before there was so much bleed on the tape it was incoherent. You could record from all sources so I was taking samples from lp's and tape and adding them into my mixes. Very fond memories of this unit.

I/m same age. I really really wanted one of these from Dixons, I would have give my right arm for one. Ended up waiting another year and got a really cheap bottom of the range Tascam instead. However that was the start of the rest of my life, been on Cubase now for last 20 years

In what way? It’s true that some children are aggressive, rude and unreasonable (probably have crap parents at home) and teachers feel scared to do anything about it because of potential backlash.

I had one but they were branded the Teac CC1000 in Australia and cost up to nearly $1000 AUD back in 1989/90. I got mine for $599 in 1990 because they were heavily discounted by most retailers, they didn't sell too well in Australia because they weren't cheap enough (at the original price of $1099 AUD upon release they were only about $300 or so less than the entry level JVC, Sanyo and Panasonic at @ $1400 AUD which had all the standard camcorder features of the day). They did a decent job but it was cheapest camcorder at the time and that's all I could afford. I remember the white balance was a dead set PIA, I would be filming away and forget to flick it over to indoor, back to outdoor or to fluoro or back onto outdoor, did the a few times and because it never had any playback you wouldn't know til you got home and replayed it on the VCR!!. I don't regret buying it took some good videos which still look okay after 26 years (as good as old VHS can get).

They didn't like it when they lost the OS. They don't like it every time we beat them in league or cups.. They tried everything to fuck up our bid including illegal activity.(Why was Levy not jailed?) Their bid was laughable and got exactly 0 votes out of 14. spurs are a disgrace and very poor losers. While it's true that our team has not been great the actual stadium move is a total success with 57,000 punters sell out at every home PL game.
