I see your point ..but if you were replaceable wouldn't it be more beneficial to the company to replace you with the much cheeper intern that you have just shared your knowledge with ?😅
@sayfjawad522 Жыл бұрын
It's ok if they did! That means that i did my job wel! And especially if they replaced me with an intern❤️ it is the highest honor in my view. If the first caveman didn't pass his/her knowledge he/she would have died and we would still be in the dark! Pass the knowledge on! This is the way😊

Hi Sayf, Jan from Belgium here. You were my mentor at Ausy :p I was wondering why you chose to use a hashmap here instead of implementing a strategy pattern. All in all an intresting video / series! Keep up the great work & teach the masses!
@sayfjawad522 Жыл бұрын
Hi Jan, How wonderful to hear from you! Thank you for the feedback. A strategy pattern will be used in a different video. The goal is share all possible techniques and patterns in solving the same problem. If you would like we can plan a session where you share the strategy pattern and we will record and share it! Really happy to hear from you and I am grateful for the feedback. You can also contact me through linkedIn on www.linkedin.com/in/sayf-jawad-218364a/

Nice job! I have a question: how would you handle string input to your application? Let's say you build the console application that takes a string input and prints out the sound of the animal (like "dog" is input and "bark" should be printed). Would you still avoid the switch statement to identify which animal is it?
@sayfjawad522 Жыл бұрын
There are many ways to achieve this without the need for a switch statement. The solution I will share with you the example solution of abstraction. Checkout the change I added to an example branch: github.com/sayfjawad/code-complexity-example/tree/abstraction_polymorphism_example_solution_Borko and to see the difference in a pull request github.com/sayfjawad/code-complexity-example/pull/3/files
