Well nothing has improved with the "6.30 news". December 2024 and its still a "horror movie" and even worse.

Shirl - The ultimate Front-man of Aussie Rock!!!!! He led the way for Garrett, Hutchence and all those who came after him. AND......... What an incredible vocal range!!!!!! No one will ever sing "Women In Uniform" the way Shirl did.

Saw them heaps of times live, my fave band of that era. Now I'm about to say something very controversial, I did have one complaint about their live playing, they were so fkn loud it was painful at times, and and i'd wear toilet paper in my ears to lessen the ear damage

Came across them in Perth after an overland trip from UK in 74. Saw them at least a couple of times in the Sandgropper Hotel . Great memories.

They would mostly be Sherbet fans I reckon, as they were headlining. Give me Skyhooks any day over Sherbet.

What a waste this wasn't on an album or single. The 'Hooks were at their best when they were commenting on society directly.

The 1991 Live in Olympia show is top notch. The band he played with was fire and made this song catchier than ever.
Aussie Legends. I hear a strong Frank Zappa influence in the humorous lyrics..

Hooks were great in '74, as a 10 year old i was allowed to buy the album (yeah i wasn't allowed, but i bought it anyway), a real eye opener... *edit, just spotted the date, was still 9 when this gig happened, 10 days before my 10th.
