I went a few times in the early days before the house explosion. I remember just about everyone wearing white t-shirts, braces, cycling pants, white socks and doc shoes. It was a bit too cool for school for me and I didn’t love it. Then I went back in the summer of ‘88 on a Wednesday night and just remember being totally blown away. Went every week that summer. Remember buying a pair of Wallabees especially for those nights, as trainers were not allowed! You just knew you were part of something really new and exciting. It was fleeting though, and I remember the vibe really changed and became more menacing in the 90s. Also saw Jamiroquai and The Wailers❤️ Glad I experienced that time, it was really special.

Lesbian dj - "there were drag queens everywhere and people having full sex on full view,it was just beautiful" Obviously this is the point where the Hacienda started to go down hill 😢

33:00 Correction: This fellow has been openly *HOMOSEXUAL* since 1967. Back in the 1960s the meaning of the word "Gay" had still not been *corrupted* to refer to homosexual or bisexual people. The word still retained its *PROPER* meaning of being cheerful, happy and elated!

thats what happens when you turn a non judgemental club into a prominently dominant gay club, destroys it, should be for everyone, not just a single set of clientele. When i went there was all walks of life no one judged. but some people are greedy.

One of the best vibes, I have ever encountered, just a shame the gangsterism spoiled it all. Met some wonderful creative people and that memory will stay with me until my last breath. Stay blessed and thank you💯🙏🏿🙏🏿❤️
