I mean, probably not. The difference this time around is the lending criteria and required down payments buyers had to put down should protect the banks. Most of the loans out there are also 30 year fixed, so if you can afford the payment, the bank can't raise the interest rates like they were able to in the last downturn.

Will be interesting to see how it all plays out, there's been such a shortage of new homes being built since the last downturn that we're still significantly behind in the number of homes being built vs the population growth.
