Exhaust? Timing? Domes?
@bstil10219 жыл бұрын
shearer small bore inframes, +4 degrees on timing, pump gas domes that were made by kevin at hjr
@StrokedOutShee10 жыл бұрын
Hey, I saw your video about the 2 into 1 intake with the 35 Pwk. I was wondering which intake you used. My buddy is selling his 440 exciter with a 34pj carb for 75 he's also giving me a lot of jets and needles. I have a 4 Mil with stock cylinders and stock porting and Vforce Reeds and a stock pump gas head cut by Mull Engineering to work with the 4 mil. This is just a scrue around bike. Thanks.
@bstil102110 жыл бұрын
i have a video of 35mm pwk air striker testing but thats with 2 carbs not one. i wouldnt recommend 1 carb go with 2. i would also recommend the regualr pwk's over the pwk air striker. easier to tune.

You scared of your machine or was you just cursing around checking out the place?
@bstil102110 жыл бұрын
yea just crusing checking out the place and more for filming for my friends to see how it was over there. got a 20dm motor coming my way soon. i dont know the trails over there. it wouldnt be a good thing if i was hauling ass and didnt see the trees down in the trail. its pretty deep in the woods and no one would know i was there if something bad happened. usually all my videos are for friends to check out. i ride hard when i know the place. had too many friends get seriously injured from not being cautious first time at a place. gotta be smart... get to know the place and then you rip

hjr port very good job.Banshee hard :) you have 48 pilot and needle CEL?
@bstil102110 жыл бұрын
yea the port job was pretty good. the domes i got from hjr werent all that great. this was my old setup. i would recommend redline racing any day over hjr now. not bashing kevin but there is more superior builders out there that can make more poweful/better power curves. in this film yes i had 48 pilots and cel needle. air strikers like a much smaller pilot like a 38-42

It's classic old Skool so it is worth it. I got a 89 cr80 back in like 03 for 550$ no papers every time one kick and power like u wouldn't believe for an 80 kept up with 125 in trails like no problem. 89 has tons of power on the Hondas. If someone buys it for 1500 it's for the old Skool style. Nothing wrong with it. Just got an 01 cr250 1600$ papers. Beast braappp

i loved that bike and like you mentioned it had a great motor. sold the bike years ago. got 13 for it. take care of your 01 and ride wfo

Hey man I was thinking of upgrading my stock carbs to some 35s. I have a similar setup to yours except I'm a bigger guy at over 250lbs. Is it worth it or not really?
@bstil102110 жыл бұрын
need more info on your motor and what your doing with the bike. the bigger carbs gave it a little more mid and top end. if your going to upgrade to aftermarket cylinders such as a 4 mil serval or cub then def get bigger carbs so the motor can breath. porting will give a much better increase in power then switching to bigger carbs. pm me and ill set you up correctly
@STILLNIGHTPEARL10 жыл бұрын
It's a ported 4mm stock cylinder with shearer sb inframes, k&n pods. Stock carbs, 400 main jet, needle on the 2nd clip, 30 pilots, +6 timing, 14/41 gearing, I went this past weekend to the sand dunes and I couldn't launch in 2nd gear with 20x10x10 8 paddle haulers at 5 psi. It kept bogging and then after a few seconds it would take off. Funny thing is that my dad who's about 180 lbs was launching fine in second, but my fatass couldn't. People are telling me I should be running 330-350 mains, needle in the middle? What do you think?
@bstil102110 жыл бұрын
your jetting is rich for sure and yes the hq was right.... with stock carbs i was spot on with a 340 main and 27.5 pilot 1.5 air screw mid clip stock needle in the warm weather (60+) make sure you dont have any air leaks with a leakdown test and rejet. dont forget to check your plugs and read them
@STILLNIGHTPEARL10 жыл бұрын
Yeah that sounds about right. Redline told me that a 350 main to start and then lean down if necessary, but he said he never goes over a 350 main on stock cylinder 4 mills. He said 30 pilots are fine and to put the needle in the middle. He said try that and do some plug chops and see what happens. Thanks man I appreciate your advice. Btw you have some sick vids and banshees.
@bstil102110 жыл бұрын
you called the right person. cam at redline knows his shit. he did my 10mil. thanks bud. yea the videos arent that great lol they were always taken during the beginning of the ride. never seem to get the good stuff on film but im glad you enjoyed them

@bstil102110 жыл бұрын
thanks. its actually not that bad to keep up with. i dont ride in mud or when its shitty out. i always go through the bike after cleaning it to make sure bolts are tight ect. yes shearer big bore dm pipes custom made by matt
@rednecklife-uu3je10 жыл бұрын
bstil1021 I could not do that to me shee i always trail ride and ok i thought so, i like my FMF' Fattys for woods riding they have a hell of a bottom to mid hit to them that you just dont get with top end pipes.
@bstil102110 жыл бұрын
redneck4life887 this is my trail bike actually. i can lug it around in the tight stuff without any problems. the motor has so much more power everywhere in all the rpm range even with a "drag pipe" then my stock stroke did with fattys and even when i went with a 4 mil ported engine with fattys. setup is key. if your motor isnt ported there are some better pipes then the fattys out there. i had fattys at one point too... considering what you told me i think you would really like a 4 mil serval engine and you could still use your pipes if you like
