Hello, Marado. Thanks for the question. I just saw this today. I used a hanger like a fish hook (a very small bend in the end)

Thanks for the shout out :) Mark (fatstercat) did some videos on debugging and rebuilding his wiper motor for his 70 (ish) Camaro. That might be useful to you.

That is cool! I have not seen anyone attempt this. The steering wheel fits the car too? Anything special to do with that?
@TheFirebirdaTruePhoenix4 жыл бұрын
Man! I appreciate you. Test fit ... (I haven't loaded the video yet) revealed i need to find the link between the base and steering junction box. Tight fit! I'm going to have to fabricate a back plating to the firewall. That's coming soon!. Thanks. I see you're coming along. The last one I saw of yours was the hood.

September? This is an old video? Have you sorted this out then?

Hello! I'm a pittiful soul. I decided to take the engine out and put in new frame brackets. I've also pirchased motor mounts which specifies the LS1 conversion. Haven't tried it yet. It'll be a while. and here it is almost a year later.

That does not bring back happy memories for me :) I hated cleaning out all that stuff in the trunk, wheel wells, yuck! On those holes in the floor, I would recommend sealing those up top and bottom if you can with short strand filberglass or something to make sure no water gets in there. Nice progress! Stay cool.

I put my jackstands on the first crossmember when I put in the jackstands. That is a really stable spot since your jackstands can cradle the crossmember. Also, I did a video on my motor mounts where I talked about that orientation. May or may not be useful, but there is one :) kzbin.info/www/bejne/d2G3fJVjlKaDi5I

Where did you place the jack stands under the body to hold it up without damaging the body from all the weight?
@TheFirebirdaTruePhoenix5 жыл бұрын
Hello, Mark. I placed jacks directly under the door post frame where the firewall and fenderwell meet. Very strong. Also the car doesn't weigh much without the engine and subframe attached. The big trick (and I advise to be very careful) is to not hit the stands while removing the frame. I hope to attach a video of the stands location. Video for placement location is located here >> kzbin.info/www/bejne/jprCgayFj8-ijJY << Thank you. Do you have a project car? Is it a firebird?
