What seems gimmicky or even impractical about his kit? No status ailments 100% ignore defense at all time + dmg boost the lower his health is. Art and Super arts both have a way to reduce his health AND his true art serves as a self battery + dmg boost. His kit seems solid to me with a nice synergy between passive and skills serving his role as a dps. He may not be capable to be on par with crit/super crit oriented dps but thats what can also actually makes him good as bosses can actively negates crit and so he become a reliable source of dmg the boss cant actively affect as his non crit damage are his actual damage output. As shown in the video just use true arts then spam Super Arts, i dont really see what seems impractical about him. He may just need a tank and may forbid the use of a healer to keep his maximum damage output effective at all times but thats it.

@@Monokuma._. i guess the part where he requires either a taunt or a barrier unit is what feels so impractical to him, but the thing is that for most end-game quests you're going to be running shirou or kiri anyway, so it's not even that much of an issue

plus there's also the fact that he can artgen pretty well with another artgen on the team and if he's at 1 HP, so that also gives him more utility than just being a dps, because he's not as good of a dps as jay or dlrim in optimal comps, so the fact that he has utility outside of his dps capabilities makes him a pretty good unit

his super arts animation is approximately 8 seconds long, and if he can get 300 arts before the animation ends (he already gets 200 if he's at 1 HP so he only needs 100 more) he can spam his SA every 8 seconds, which if you do the calculations, is about 6.25 aps to the team, which is pretty sick for an instant arts unit, and all he would need to accomplish this is about 7.5 aps from another artgen together with his true arts aps, which i think is pretty nice and increases his value as a unit

It's the mine equip that drops from elite Rada (The spider lady). It decreases your health by 99% but gives you 120 arts

The reason it's called "traitorous holy knight" is because he did technically betray them by messing up everything rayas was trying to do this entire time(if you don't care about spoilers) But now royally was like "you are truley worthy for the title king" or something like that and they're friends again :D

Go with something that’ll give you arts or boost your magic damage. One is true dark zeorgs equip, the new equip from demon voxs event beelzedia, or even something like summon valzandeth for magic boost 30 secs for whole team.

If you were around for the Overlord or Fate collabs, shooting star, magical wand and Gae bolg are also decent, tho Gae bold is pure dmg boost, idr about wand tho

It's Roy phantom bullet mechanic so yeah super arts then phantom bullet, overall new Roy is pretty good

If you don't care about spoilers for the story, Roy found evultees body at the bottom of the cliff and looted the bullets that he used
