Awesome adventure and people. You know you are somewhere special when you cross the passes and experience the solitude of the valleys. Not many people get to see these wonders.

You should be comfortable walking up rocks and boulders on the Khumbu Moraine. I personally found the trek up from Labouche to Gorek Shep and to the EBC challenging. A rocky desolate incline. The weather deteriorated on return to Labouche. Not my favorite part of the trek.

Good video. Only thing I'm really worried about is getting sick while doing this. Mostly from the food and lack of hygiene etc. Any tips for this or advice on this

It would be nice if you use meters and kilometers instead feet/miles since 90% of the world using metric measurement Nepal as well.

I would love to trek the EBC trek combined with the 3 pass loop. Finding other kindred spirit hikers to join me may be more difficult from Los Angeles. Yes, I would like to see the 16 week training plan.

Hi Stephanie... I am already booked to do the basecamp & 3 passes starting Nov15th. Instead of flying into lukla like most people do I am flying into Phaplu which is about 3 days away from Lukla on a lower elevation. Let me know if u are interested assuming u havent already done it...

There really should be an abscess somewhere to store it because the bladder takes up most of the space in a day bag. I tried to stash it between my back frame and the bag itself but it was too thick.

Was one day hike above namche bazaar at teng bouche on about jan 19 1989 when the Buddhist monastery burnt to the ground. With a fire fighting background, I assisted to break through the window bars to save about 60% of the 700 year old scrolls on the ground floor and most of the Buddhist icons on the second before the ceiling started caving in . Had to drag a monk out with me because he kept wanting to go back in ….
