F Power toms, they look ridiculous, sound like garbage, take up more space, add weight, and have to be mounted higher.

Oh I'm surprised this only has 35 comments and only 391 likes. I've been returning to this video for years now, the drums grants the song a distant strong echo that traces the theme of the past culminating and colliding. All while you just don't look back.

K. I bought this guitar in ebony a week ago. A 2024 sg standard by epiphone. It's a great guitar. It's basically as good as the gibson sg. This guitar player sucks. This guitar is actually too good for him to pull it apart. Don't listen to his nit picking complaints. It's a fine guitar at a great price for anyone.

@@JoeyCatanzaro He doesn’t “suck”, he’s alright. Besides, he’s just trying to demo the guitar, not shred some Dragonforce-level shit. I agree on the guitar though, I have the Standard and the Custom. Both rad.

@chrisb8193 well if he can't even play the guitar well, why tare it apart?? And it's extremely good and well made. That guitar is too good for him!

Gibson specs aren't the same as Epiphone specs. They may give them the same name (60s slim taper) but they have different measurements. Just like how Epiphone SG bodies are thicker than Gibson SG bodies.

Fun Mustang Fact: Fender sold some in a 22.5" scale in the 60s. Theyre VERY rare. 24" is considered Medium scale.

I always felt like Zildjian is just too clingy. Also what they consider "dark" is just as bright as a sabian aax. Never was a fan

The 70s black labels are lighter than red labels btw. Example 22" red around 3200 grams, 70's black label 22 will be like 2800 grams.

Snare stand choking the tom? No way!.. it actually help me by not using any dampening method on my tom.. whats the sense of racking your tom on a arm mount if you put alot of stuff on the head top and bottom anyways? 🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️

Jazzmasters need a very specific setup to run properly. I recommend watching Puisheen for some insight. I got the Vintera II and after a proper setup it smokes all my other guitars, it's snappy, it's warm and super clear. Basically you need to shim the neck

I love my Tiny Terror's clean tone. It's very mellow, as opposed to the more bell-like tones of Fender and the sparkly cleans of Vox (which I find really grating over time). Oranges just sound "right" to my ears, especially with my Jazzmaster.

K thin dark. Can’t go wrong. But before you bite on this crash you must also try 1) k dark medium thin and 2) k custom dark. Heavy hitters will do better with the medium thin crashes and they do offer a bit more projection and cut (more mass = greater energy) and bigger dynamics. K custom dark is similar medium thin profile but with overhammering which adds more wash or a low level of reverb/trashiness beyond the fundamental overtone of the cymbal. K custom darks are great for jazz. These cymbals brought Elvin jones back to Zildjian in the mid-1990s.

There is more to a special sound to hi hats than just the weight difference between the top and bottom. The width of lathing and the shape of the bell are also very important. Louis Bellson is the reason for the weight difference in matched pairs of hi hats. Many, many decades ago, Louis went to Avedis Zildjian and asked for a heavier bottom which caught on with other drummers very quickly and this was the beginning of the "New Beats". Fast forward and all cymbal makers . I have a pair of matched Zildjian Avedis (before they were called "A-Series") that I bought new in 1965. The top cymbal weighs more than the bottom and yet sounds much brighter than the bottom cymbal. The bottom one has wider lathing and a wider shallower bell which gives the darker sound. The bottom one can "spoon" inside the top one for storage, but the top one cannot spoon inside the bottom one, there is that much difference. These are wonderful for small venues at low volume, particularly with brushes. I've played them thousands of times over the years and they still look and sound like the day I bought them. They started out in rock & roll in a garage band and progressed to smooth jazz in small jazz bands in all size venues. They are keepers! Years later, I found the same model and style of hi hats (also pre-"A-Series") with with a slightly heavier top and much heavier bottom The bottom one sounds darker than the top one, which I prefer. I mix & match these with the lightweight, older pair according to the volume and darkness that I need for my style of jazz. I can always get the sound I want from them. The rest of my cymbals are darker "K-Series" in different models. In my opinion, the heavier bottom mostly changes only the total volume of the pair. More importantly, I go for the darker sounding bottom, regardless of the weight difference.
