This tutorial doesn't work for me. Semi-automatic setup never worked when I try it. I can get it to work with Manual setup, but not with a custom user. I have to use root.

Do I need to enable the SSH service? Do I need to Allow Password Authentication? Should I use port 22 or change it to something else? Will this work with 2FA enabled? Those are all things that where not covered in this tutorial and which would have been relevant.

Hello, a few days ago I made a backup to a single hard disk in the Truenas system. When I opened it a day later, the 4 TB space became 2 TB and my files were gone. When I looked at the main screen, I saw a yellow exclamation mark. It was written there that 50% of the space was used, but I could neither access that data nor retrieve it. Then I removed the hard disk. How do I recover my files?

This older version seems more simple than the current Scale version. The newer version is a mess. No working defaults just errors like: "[EFAULT] Failed to apply ACLs to the following paths: 1) /mnt/z3/z3/movies: [EPERM] Filesystem permissions on path /mnt/z3/z3 prevent access for user "apps" to the path /mnt/z3/z3/movies. This may be fixed by granting the aforementioned user execute permissions on the path: /mnt/z3/z3.

What first year computer science student is trying to make a NAS with windows? Seriously, anyone trying to make a nas using windows OS has zero business ever giving computer advice to ANYONE ever!

Everything works until 6:25, my media folder is empty. I am able to see the files on another windows computer via adding it as a network drive but can't get plex itself to see the subfolders. Anyone know what the issue can be?

How do i setup "user share folders" from my truenas pool? I already established a couple users and some sub-folders in a share per person/login (me, brother, dad, etc) to store files, now i want NC to be a auto sync of phones camera and have it go into said users folder. Is there a part 2 of this video im missing covering configuration, this is only i itial setup.

This whole ECC RAM swindle needs to be cleared out. Different sources states different opinions.
