Did you actually say you didn't see a clock on the nightstand? Who still does that?
@NevadaJackКүн бұрын
Yes, I mentioned that. I cover a lot of hotels, and it's something I like to point out. Some hotels still provide clocks, but it seems to be becoming less common. Thanks for watching!

What a fun video, Jack. Love all of them, but especially the hockey. Roy in particular. Sorry about the Coffey, but good to know. I've been burned too on comics so that's why I buy any keys now as graded. Nice remembrance of your Mom.

The Coffey was a disappointment especially since it was pulled from a wax pack and bought from a vendor we both have done business with.

I lived in the neighborhood south west of the mall and went to Schroeder Elementary. I was at the Westminster mall opening day. My sister worked at the caramel corn store when the food city eat in the center bottom floor, and the jewelry store. It's where I got my first girls number. Great childhood.

I bought my house in Westminster in 1973. When the mall opened up my property value jumped up immediately. I lived on Iroquois road right off of Edwards St. by garden grove blvd. My wife and I spent a lot of time at the mall after it opened up. The theater was the place I first saw Gone in 60 Seconds. I sold my house in 1989 and moved to the Inland empire. At the time I left the mall was still full of stores. What a shame that retail has gone online and has closed up just about all the malls in the country.

Staying out of the heat is important. Hence the reason this video focused on walking through the hotels and casinos to avoid the heat or rain. My experience staying at NYNY wasn't the best either. Agreed, it's arid-always have a bottle of water, whether it's winter or summer.

What are they going to do with the ducks in the pond in front of the Mirage when it is torn down? I saw several ducks in your video in the water at the end. 🦆
@NevadaJack13 күн бұрын
I was glad to see the ducks at the Mirage while I was filming, but there have been visits where they weren't there. It's unclear what will happen to them with the changes. There are also other fountain and water areas on the Strip, like Bellagio, where ducks can be found.

Fun video! I’ll be at Park MGM in a couple weeks and I can’t wait. Do casinos still frown on photo/video? I remember the days of “sneaking” a picture, but it kinda seems like those days are long gone.
@NevadaJack15 күн бұрын
Thanks for watching! Park MGM is one of my favorites too. As for filming, casinos are generally still pretty strict about it. I've been asked not to film the gaming area specifically. In fact, I was almost thrown out of MGM Grand while filming the lion in the hotel lobby because security thought I was filming the gaming area. It wasn't until I showed security the video that they stood down. I've seen security warn people while they are actively playing games as well. Enjoy your trip to Park MGM!
