"Kore" means "this", usually indicating something that is near to the speaker, or in this case, something the speaker is holding and showing to the cashier. But you can actually say, "kore kudasai", meaning "I would like to have this".... and "this" being whatever object it is that you are asking for.

@xSRGDarknessx Plus the exams at my school are HARD The highest the NERDS in my class have gotten was like a 92.... I usually get an 89 from all-nighters like Konata XD

This is the second time I'm watching this series, and I'm already noticing things I never noticed before. Things like, at 9:03 Konata got a 86 on her test. It's kinda funny how skilled she is. She's actually very intelligent, but her nerdy nature prevents her from taking initiative in her academic studies. Come to think of it, she's actually very unique. Even though she stays indoors playing video games all day, she's more tanned everyone else, she's smarter, she's very lean AND she's athletic.
