I’ve driven a multitude of manual BMW’s ranging from a variety of E30’s, an E92 M3, and a 1M Coupe, and they all have the same problem. Terrible shift gate feel. They all feel mushy and their clutch engagement is horrendous. I got to drive my friend’s 2018 Shelby GT350 and the transmission feel in that is perfection.

Not a bad walk through of the M2. Would have loved you putting it through paces and get more manual mode Impressions instead of the spec sheet comparison.

I most definitely would have, the only thing was that the car hadn’t been broken in (112 miles on it, and the break-in period is 1,500 miles). BMW recommends not using the manual shifting mode until the break-in period is complete. Thank you for your input though!

I have ticker legs for a man and I was at the border of almost being uncomfortable. The bolstering may actually get uncomfortable on the slide of the torso with a manual transmission, so sport seats with a manual is a very good combo

I’m still in love with the face lifted W212. At 75,000 miles I’d make sure that the Type A service has been performed (transmission fluid, oil change, brake rotors and pads, and any other serviceable parts). As well as if it has an up to date service record. If it’s a 2015 + then $16,000 is a pretty decent price, might even be able to talk the individual down $1,000 (depending on your area).
