Hi Natalia, thank you for such an informative video. It’s been immensely helpful. This is a long shot but I’m struggling with the supporting statement. I thought I had hit all the person specs but I’ve been rejected. I was wondering if there was any chance you could read it and provide any suggestions. Of course, only if you have the time. Thank you! 😊

I have a question, if anyone knows anything, feel free to comment underneath! :) I am currently applying to trainee PWP and CWP roles. Is there a maximum you can apply for? As I have come across PWP roles which asked me to state two of my preferences and a CWP role ( both of which are taught at the same uni) so idk if my applications will clash ?
@66levo Жыл бұрын
Thank you both for a very informative video. I am in the final year of my Psychology degree and would like to progress to PWP training. I have recently started volunteering with the Samaritans. Do you think this voluntary type of experience is adequate for me to apply for a PWP training position?
@greentree1064 Жыл бұрын
As someone looking to become a trainee PWP, how do you go about finding a flat etc? E.g. If I was applying for trusts around the midlands, how long do you get between being accepted and starting the position? Thanks
@chloesutton36110 ай бұрын
Around 2 months. I got accepted today (early November) and I start middle of January. Best of luck!

Thank you so much for this video! So helpful. I had a question about becoming a PWP. I am having a difficult time finding job postings for trainee positions (I have been looking on NHS jobs). Are they really that rare or is there a specific month where they are more frequently available? In terms of experience I have been an autism/learning disability support worker for a year now and have recently started volunteering for a mental health text helpline (remote). Would that be enough valid experience to become a pwp? Thank you!

I don’t know who told me this but someone told me to mention the NICE guidelines - is this relevant? I’ve worked as assistant psychologist in CAMHS and HCA this is the next adventure and role I want
@the_psychdiaries Жыл бұрын
I mean it could be relevant, depends what the person specification says! You don't need to but saying something about how you've worked based on NICE guidelines or something could be good 😊

When you qualify was it on a pass or fail certificate and not second class, first class, etc ?
@the_psychdiaries Жыл бұрын
Yes it's just pass or fail dependent on a number of different competencies 😊

Thanks for this, have an interview today. Pretty experienced as a therapist but still very nervous as I know pwp positions are competitive and the role much faster paced. Hoping to go high intensity later down the line if successful.

Hii, I am glad for you congrats, could you tell us what kind of questions did you get?
@sm68982 жыл бұрын
Yeah sure I can share what questions I had. - what interested me about the role - time management and a question around supporting clients 1-1 - stress management and work life balance - working in a team and liaising with others - responding to change and managing difficulties - just to reflect on my experiences and how I can fit into the iapt service - role play - speaking to someone to perform a first assessment to get to know the person
