Just found your channel. Been watching a few and am loving your work/fun and enthusiasm. I bought a Warrior tripod about 6 months ago and am loving it. I have it equipped with the Cheif leveling head…A game changer for me as I am turning 59 and need all the advantages I can get. I do the same thing as I saw you do with the locked front leg and the others unlocked to adjust elevation on the fly when in a low to the ground sit. I just subscribed and am looking forward to watching more 👍

How many acres are you hunting ?
@WHEELZ1
@WHEELZ1 2 ай бұрын
@@Chasehess it depends. 50 all the way up to 200
@Chasehess
@Chasehess 2 ай бұрын
@@WHEELZ1yes sir that is a problem right there. Some properties just don’t hold that many coyotes, or the ones that are there just maybe don’t come to calls very well. I can only hunt 200 acres maybe once or twice and then it’s burned and over hunted for the next two months. It’s SUPER easy to over hunt coyote spots. Need to get on ONX app try to find some land owners 30-40 minutes from town that own larger pieces and get permission. It can be done . You need several thousand acres to hunt to kill coyotes consistently. I prob hunt close to 20,000 acres all together for coyotes

Awesome tripod.movement! You just leave it loose?
@Chasehess
@Chasehess 2 ай бұрын
So these giant canyons the coyote can be at 1000 yards or 30 yards straight down from you really fast. The angle swings are massive. So I usually leave a little loose adjustment on my tripod legs . The tripod legs dig in enough it only takes it a second to reset BUT on rock like this it’s much harder. I hate shooting off rock but on this stand it’s all rock on top no choice . The legs slide easier on rock which sucks. So it’s more difficult to get set , but you still need the ability to change massive angles fast in these large areas. As far as the gun itself on the ballhead I leave it loose enough it can hold the gun but I can still move the gun if I need to. I’ll lock it down completely on a longer range shot. On more flat fields I don’t leave my tripod legs loose on the adjustment. Hope this answered your question 👍
