The set is the whole of Dark side of the moon uninterrupted for the whole album which last about 50mins. Then they play another brick in the wall 2 and sorrow then a break then another 1 hour 30 minutes of music from 1969 through to the pulse album finishing with comfortably numb.

Imagine putting on an amazing, beautiful show complete with lights, lasers and awesome guitar solos and then an armchair critic comes along and says its not even close. It always interests me to discover what it is about a performance that makes someone want to comment negatively. Is it a particular voice or instrumental sound that isn't close enough? Or is the circular screen not circly enough? 😂

I have a 940d and it has terrible black image on white background trailing. It varies by panel but it's always there to a degree. You had to have noticed it on your previous display somewhat using many youtube videos... Does the ZD9 fix this issue?

Thanks for your feedback. Another question that you may not be able to answer. Currently own Panasonic VT65 which was reference back in the day. Does the XD94 / Zd9 produce similar pictures or better. Apologies for picking your brain your the only one I know that has experience in both the Sonys.

Andrew. is there a huge difference between the xd94 / zd9 while watching freeview HD and normal blu ray movies?
@andrewguy85998 жыл бұрын
No very little to be honest, you only really see the difference on scenes that are traditionally tricky for led tvs e.g starfields where the zd9 does a much better job of controlling the backlight and obviously hdr where the zd9 is a lot brighter but apart from that very little difference really

Anymore updates on this set Andy do you still have it at all?
@andrewguy85998 жыл бұрын
No I don't have it, I returned it due to the lack of firmware updates for things like hdr and Amazon 4k etc. I believe some of the features are now available but I think hdr has been put back again until Sept/Oct but it's been delayed so many times so knows if it will arrive then..it's a fantastic TV this, the support / firmware has let it down but it's still capable of a cracking picture. Myself I've now got the Sony KD75XD9405 which I'll post a review of soon all being well
@Jamesh22638 жыл бұрын
+Andrew Guy look forward to your review on the new set mate and I'm still thinking of grabbing the xt910 apprantly the new firmware includes amazon app and youtube is finally 4k but yeah the hdr thing is a problem I might just buy it on the credit card and if not sorted by Jan do a charge back on the tv die to it not being what it's advertised as

what tv is better this or the js9000? i mainly do video gaming at 4k on my pc and watch netflix in 4k. i can either get this at 65 inch or the js9000 at 55 inch in my price range. thanks
@TheLevitatingChin8 жыл бұрын
Hi and thanks for the review. I currently own a ue65js9000 but a section of the edge lit leds have failed leaving a dark patch on one side of the picture. The retailer has offered me a refund or an upgrade plus cash on my end for the replacement model ue65ks9000. However I really don't like the ideal of spending £2900 on a tv. I paid £2100 for js9000 back in February and that's my budget. The hisense looks perfect my budget. A couple of questions. Whilst the blacks are OK on js9000 the do tend to be pretty grey at times when there's a largely dark screen with some bright highlights. Is the same still true on the hisense? And finally where would you rate the colour in comparison to the js9000? The AVforums review said the hisense wasn't great in this regard. Thanks
@andrewguy85998 жыл бұрын
Hi, personally I think the XT910 would be a better option than the KS9000 because the XT910 is fald. I believe the colour gamut is almost as wide on the xt910 as the KS9000, I very much doubt you'd notice any difference put it that way. The good news is the stutter with 4k content over hdmi has been fixed, this has been tested and verified. HDR is coming in the next firmware update due next month along with several other fixes / improvements that IMO will make this TV the TV it always should have been and a real bargain. What I would say though is factor in the cost of getting it calibrated (£200 ish), these hisense TVs aren't the most accurate out of the box but they can be calibrated very well. Hope that helps

+Andrew Guy Do you know that you not really getting 4K from Netflix or Amazon Prime? I also read on another website (Amazon) that it's the Amazon prime app on the Hisense is the problem. I think someone posted that there is only certain kind of the Amazon prime app/tv stick, box with the prime app can work. Never the less, you will be better off watching the movies from Blu ray players than streaming because both Netflix, Amazon or what other streaming movie app does not do real 4K. They all don't even have same quality as a Blu ray movie, which is 25-35 mbps. ULTRA Blu ray players and the UHD blu ray disc is the way to go for real 4K content or even watch native 4K content from a USB stick.
@andrewguy85998 жыл бұрын
+Diafgadgsut Netflix does 4k and there is no amazon prime app at the moment (something else that's been promised in the next firmware update). I know Netflix 4k isn't going to be as good as a uhd bluray but some of the 4k content looks stunning nonetheless
@Diafgadgsut8 жыл бұрын
Andrew Guy I guess if you tell your mind that it's 4K, you will perceive it as that. As I said before Non of those streaming services whither it be Netflix, Amazon, Vudu, Cinemanow, KZbin etc, does anything that is on par to even the current blu ray of 24 mbps bitrate, muchless real 4K. In your mind you think it's 4K because you that is what you want to think but the reality is, it is not and this isn't a secret to find that information, so I'm puzzled as to why people keeping posting all over the internet that they watching 4K through Netflix, Amazon etc.

Since you last updated us on the tv, are you going to have an updated video talking about the firmware updates and maybe show some other things like gaming. Did it get the HDR firmware update yet?
@andrewguy85998 жыл бұрын
hi, I no longer have this TV due to the issue with 4k content stuttering over hdmi and the fact it still hasn't got hdr or amazon prime, IMO updates are taking too long to come and there are still some fairly basic issues with it but if hisense keep their word and fix the problems and add hdr then it'll be one heck of a tv that's for sure
@andrewguy85998 жыл бұрын
+david simpson no it doesn't stutter with non 4k content, or 4k content if you play it off a usb stick for example that's fine as well. And yes the stutter is very noticeable, even worse if you have ultra smooth motion on (ironically) where the stuttering is really bad (but I think that's a seperate issue)
@Diafgadgsut8 жыл бұрын
+Andrew Guy This TV was ship with HDR so how can you buy the TV and didn't even know that this TV has HDR? Also, majority of the Sony, Samsung, Vizio and LG models that are claiming to have HDR and wide color gamuts are nothing but marketing bullshit. Only Samsung JS9500 that cost over $5,000+ can even come close the specs of the Hisense 65H10B2. Go check out the LG 2016 UH8500 model that is claiming to have HDR. Most of those widely know name brands are just living on their laurels and cutting corners and the quality because their name is already known. As of know if people really want true 4K quality TVs with real HDR and wide color gamut, without having to pay $4,000+, HISENSE ULED TVs are the way to go, especially the their 10 series. Consumers need to be more informed and stop letting these companies taking us for a ride. Check out a great review website call Rtings.com. Then go do research on all the different color gamuts and many of you will be in for shock of the crap those companies on putting on the market because many consumers are clueless about technology, coupled with they think their names should be good enough.
@andrewguy85998 жыл бұрын
+Diafgadgsut it doesn't have hdr, not yet anyway, supposed to be coming in the next firmware update
@Diafgadgsut8 жыл бұрын
Your TV that you already have is sold with HDR. LG 2016 UH8500 and Sony 2016 850D models that claim to have HDR is literally not even 400nits. The HISENSE TV is superior in HDR, WIDE COLOR GAMUT, and GREAT CONTRAST. You have those and you are set to experience those great Ultra HD movies that has HDR.
@mistajaybee3118 жыл бұрын
Hey Andrew thanks for the review I can't find anything on this tv spec wise it seems awesome have they updated to hdr yet and if you have looked at the Samsung js8500 they are about the same price here in the US what would make the better choice thanks for sharing
@andrewguy85998 жыл бұрын
No it hasn't been updated to hdr yet, probably April at the earliest, as for the JS8500 that's not fald as far as I know so this is better in that respect but the UK model (65XT910) does still have some issues eg stuttering with 4k content over hdmi amongst other things which coupled with the lack of HDR still means I can't really recommend it at the moment, also I'm not sure if the US model and the UK model are the same spec wise, some comments on avsforum suggested it was perhaps inferior to the UK model but I'm not sure how exactly and I'm happy to be corrected on that. Personally I would wait and see if the issues get resolved and HDR gets added and perhaps even wait for this year's models. I wouldn't recommend the JS8500 really sure to it being edge lit, the blacks and light uniformity on this are far superior. Hope that helps
@andrewguy85999 жыл бұрын
Just wanted to update this 'review' to say the theatre mode bug has been fixed in the latest firmware update, that's despite hisense telling me it wouldn't be fixed and hence me sending it back. Can't really think of a reason not to get another now (I did but it arrived with a smashed screen, not having much luck really am I....)
