Cracking video... i just wondered what connection method/app you use when your go pro is attached on the end... as I have also tried this but with the standard connection it looses connection after about 10 sections and I regularly use 30+sections but would like to be able to use my go pro at that length.. many thanks..

I’m looking at getting these, as despite having some very tall snag bars I’ve only got so much faith in my slimmer shimano rods staying in the butt rests. These seemed like a universal system suitable for every rod ever made hence my choosing them. Thanks for doing the review. You know they’re bloody strong magnets when they start rotating even when they’re nowhere near each other 😂

Used to fill a keepnet with Roach, Rudd and big Roach/bream hybrids. Had 20lb plus pike from there too. 5lb Chub up near exit to river too. Full of Gudgeon and Bullhead too, or it used to be. Cleatham trout pond overflowed into the nearby dyke that enters the River eau, seen some big trout in there

How are you finding the drop out in signal to deeper to phone mate? I’m looking into getting this model but have friends with previous models saying they have the same issue with it dropping out after anything past 20meters. All the other videos of this deeper on your tube are sponsored I think so after a honest review. Ta mate

Hi, many thanks for your comment and query. Since the initial teething problems with connectivity (that I mentioned in my review) I have not had any issues and regularly use my Deeper at ranges between 50 and 100m. The connectivity issue for me was because my GoPro and/or ear pods were also automatically connecting to my phone. To resolve this, when using the Deeper I ensure it is the only device connected. I hope this helps? Kind regards, Mike

Hi, Thank you for your comment. For me it was a case of what was available at the time. The spare poles were stuck on the container ship that ran aground in the Suez Canal. However the advantage of buying a second set was that I got a spare spoon. The disadvantage was I ended up with a second pole that had the rubberised handle and therefore I only had 19 useable poles instead of 20. Once they became available, I did purchase some individual sections that took the range of my bush whacker to about 45m. Hope this is helpful. Regards, Mike

Mate, his bless and thankyou for you service. My dad served 37 years and I'm ashamed I didn't follow his steps, but when I was young the IRA were a threat to my family as my father was a recruitment officer. He was a Warrant officer second class and I am incredibly proud of him, but as a kid we had regular threats of IRA attacks because there were many IRA in our area of Tunbridge Wells. This scared me. It's not natural to grow up watching your father check his car every morning for bombs. Anyway god bless and thankyou, it's great to see good men enjoying their fishing 🎣

Hello, I have a deeper chirp 2 sonar! I used it only once and it worked without any problems, I was able to connect deeper with my phone without any difficulties! the moment he apologized for the battery, I inserted it to charge it and in the next game I couldn't connect deeper to my phone! I specify that it connects to the phone when it is charged, and when I remove the charging cable and insert the deeper into the water, the connection with the phone can no longer be made! The deeper device is no longer visible in the wifi section! I also cleaned those pins on the back of the deepest, but I still can't connect it! I'm waiting for answers! Thanks!

Hi Mike. After many youtube videos on numerous bivvies I have now plumed for this one. Before I go out and spend my hard earned cash, I have a couple of questions I would like to ask. Not sure if you have the Over wrap, but with it on does it make it bigger in the front? Also when i went to a tackle shop to get a demonstration how to put it up the guy said, once you have the poles together before you fan it out it is easer to peg down the back 1st? Cheers.
@mikeajcarpfishing1415
@mikeajcarpfishing1415 2 жыл бұрын
Hi Ray, thanks for your message. I personally do not have/use an overwrap so am unsure of exactly how much extra storage space it provides. You may find the answer on the Sonik sports website. Re setting up - Personally I would not peg it out before fanning out the bivvy. I connect the poles, fan it out, fit the 2 peak poles, move the bivvy to where I want to place it, fit the tension strap and then peg it out. I did a second video of setting up on the bank - link here kzbin.info/www/bejne/g2G4Zpard8t2a7c This may help you. All in all I love this bivvy. It is quick and easy to set up, looks good, is roomy and has a vert versatile zipping system. Oh and very water proof. Kind regards, Mike

I use the Sonik AXS, with the overwrap, it an awsome bivvy for the money, the wrap gives about an extra 2 foot of extra space at the front, I can get my bedchair with all my bags in and a recling Sonik Armchair also.

It is advised to use this with your spod/marker setup, braid with a 50lb leader. It’s 92g so not light, it’s hardly aerodynamic either! Also as many others have said it’s essential to turn off mobile data and WiFi assist, keep the device high up to maintain VLOS - wifi and water do not complement each other. Also as you mentioned might be worth turning off your WiFi on the go pro and any other devices which may be causing interference.

Is all this really necessary? If anyone is a competent fisherman you will have excellent watercraft and manage to catch fish. Seems to me Carp fisherman are all about SHOW and how much money the really do like to waste on silly novelty items. Did Chris Yates and any old school carp fisherman use any of this modern day rubbish? 🤔🤔🤔
@mikeajcarpfishing1415
@mikeajcarpfishing1415 2 жыл бұрын
Hi, thanks for your comment, I respect your opinion and my review is hopefully there to help people choose if a baiting pole is worth the money. IMHO technology moves on. I am sure there are few, if any, 'old school' anglers still using split cane rods vs modern carbon rubbish, centre pin reels vs today's fixed spools and old style fishing line vs mono, braid or fluorocarbon. Back in the 70's I was sceptical about poles - fast forward 40+ years and the novelty factor isn't diminishing. Therefore is it really modern day rubbish or just another available, non-compulsory, tool in the armoury of an angler - that is up to the individual to decide. I appreciate the debate you have opened up :-)
