when would you want it plumb versus perpendicular?

Thank you for your reply @AnxiousCowboy! Our Timeless Fence Expert, Mr. Jarrid Boyle, says: In general, you always want the posts perpendicular to the slope of the terrain. Here is a video where Mike goes through the details of posts on sloping terrain: kzbin.info/www/bejne/a53FqGmJp8-YkJY I hope this helps you! If you have any more questions, please don't hesitate to ask. We'll do our best to answer. Have a great day! 😊

The Timeless Fence System posts are great but Hurricane Helene called BS on the claim about posts snapping back into place - that is only true for smaller tree limbs and posts further away from the tree fall. Helene snapped posts and permanently bent others. There is a limit for ALL types of fence posts, especially when you have large trees fall on them. Timeless is offering a 30% discount for farmers in the disaster counties who need to rebuild fence.

Thank you for sharing your experience! You're absolutely right-no fence system is invincible, especially in extreme conditions like Hurricane Helene. While our Timeless Fence System is designed to withstand everyday challenges, severe weather can push any fence to its limits. We're committed to supporting our customers through tough times, which is why we're offering a 30% discount to help farmers in affected counties rebuild. We’re here to help if you have any questions about replacement or best practices for reinforcing fences in storm-prone areas. Stay safe, and thank you again for being part of the Timeless community!

Can I use Gripples on a high tensile electric fence?
@Plastic-innovation
@Plastic-innovation 3 ай бұрын
Hello @RA-zl6iw! This is a Good question. Yes, gripples can be used to terminate high tensile wire using PVC braces or to tighten wire. We would recommend using strainers to tighten wire since most users will overtighten the wire and not allow enough elasticity in the fence to flex. We hope this answers your question.

Does the end of the post/pole act as an additional ground ? I set up an electric fence and it does not shock unless I touch 5he ground wire and the output wire or the output wire and my metal post. I was thinking of wrapping the end of my wire around some rebar, but want sure if that was safe or would act as an additional ground .

I have been using floating diagonal braces using treated wood posts for 40 years. I learned that a longer (10') diagonal brace rail needs to be used and positioned on the end post at 1/2 the height of the top wire. Having too short of a brace rail tends to jack the end posts up out of the ground when under tension and is even worse with frost action.

Does anyone know how the Timeless fence posts last compared to fiberglass posts? Which is best for standing up to the sun and weed trimmers? I would think that PVC would degrade in the sun faster than the fiberglass but I don't know if the coating on the Timeless posts hold up as well as fiberglass.

Check the website, this is not pvc. They also will send you a sample of short strips. It is made of recycled window frames. A short piece of H post feels like a rock. By the way I have used pvc for as many as 20 years.

The fence is NOT to stop deer! The fence is to keep cattle or sheep IN. The beauty of Timeless Fence is that it springs right back after getting hit. Whether by a deer or a falling tree. a steel post fence would be bent to hell after getting struck by several hundred pounds of deer.

With the spring gate, how do you use it for passing through as a person? Do you just take them all off one by one and lay them on the ground, and then, after you pass through, you hook them back up?

In your dips, we have used elec flood gate controller, on 3rd wire down ,and hung dog chain droppers to water line, spaced out with short lengths of 15mm, water pipe [plastic], when, creek floods, cuts out, and no wires to catch, rubbish etc, washing down creek, simple and easy, been doing this in New zealand, since Gallagher, made these controllers

Looks like it will work with cattle, but I doubt anything less 48" is not likely to work with full sized goats. It does not show with multiple strands which is where you will have problems. I think I am going to use the timeless system for keeping my goats in, but I don't think I will use it to replace my net temporary fencing.

Is that electric or high tensile wire. Electric would of stopped them right. They would get deterred the minute the nose goes on the wire right ?
@Plastic-innovation
@Plastic-innovation Жыл бұрын
It's high tensile wire. Deer are extraordinary jumpers, as you can see in this video, they did not put their noses up to it first, they just went for it. If deer are what you are trying to prevent, we recommend the 3D fencing method.

A tip: On your diagonal brace, find the holes that you will be pulling your wire through and drill them level. This will help keep the wire from dragging as you pull.
