isn't there a simple way just to hide "empty" sheets? vs. going to each sheet? Revit should be smart enough to know which sheets are empty.

hi Robert, i was watching your video regarding section tags and duplicating the section views which is for reference purposes and adjustments (to be deleted later). the issue was I accidentally (added details + altered VG lineweights + tags and dimensions on the duplicate section view). then dragged it to my sheet for school project submittal. now the section tag datum in the floor plan is blank. i assumed this is natural since REVIT doesn't know which to section view to follow the original or the duplicate. i wish to keep the duplicate and not the original since i spend time and work on it. is there a way to override the name of section tag? i have tried to delete section view (original) project browser but unfortunately the section tag and section line in floor plan disappear leaving the duplicate section view.

How do you calculate a Degree Day for two days if you have a Heating Degree Day on day 1 and a Cooling Degree Day on day 2?

When I have design option list like yours, I can only switch to “option 1 <primary> “ and can not switch my 2nd and 3rd option to fit the right order. How would one solve this? Thank you

Larry, thanks for the wonderful comment! I am an Architect, using Revit every day, and when I learn some trick or tip that could help others, I share that knowledge. There are many others who have helped me use Revit here on KZbin, and I simply hope to do the same. Bob

@@revitresidentialtutorialsr9131 model monitor?
@revitresidentialtutorialsr9131 Жыл бұрын
@@ApxuTekTop-78I use a Sceptre ultra wide, (not a sponsor). I think it was around $500.00 but I have seen it on sale for as little as $400.00. Revit is an Architects dream come true, and an ultra-wide monitor makes Revit even easier to use.

What Autodesk need to do is for Revit to have the ability for the menus to be centered at the Ultrawide Monitor. Like the Windows 11 Taskbar menu.

I did a course where they showed how to do site/true north and the rest of the plans to job north. It is dreadfully clunky, and easy to forget. I like your system because you are using the new Revit model as a layer... When one wants to edit a troppo surface with 3D contours, for a building pad or slab, you could get into difficulties, but maybe it will be better? Have had to model the planning envelope using your new model method, something Revit has not got a solution for, and Archicad has. Can see the designer thinking, where as a stack of these tutorials are created by cad monkeys. Thank you and hope to see more common sense tutorials!

Michael, I add the topo surface to the Revit model, not the linked survey. You are correct, I think adding the building pad would be more difficult to do on the linked survey. We would have to transfer the basement outline to the linked survey, then add the topo, then add the building pad. Maybe the pad and topo would transfer without issue, I doubt it, but I don't see the need for the additional work, and I simply model the topo in the actual model.

Why are u copying walls and rotating them, u can just use Crest Similar command or shortcut CS and just draw, u would be more precise and wouldn't need to align, and would be faster, that being said, thank you for the video really helpful
@revitresidentialtutorialsr91313 жыл бұрын
King, I have found that "Create Similar" is a great command for most objects, but for stacked walls, the properties of the top and bottom may be the same, but often it does not result in the same. That's why I use "copy" then "rotate" on stacked walls. the constraints of the stacked wall remain the same when copied, and then rotated, I have exactly what I expect (and want). Sometimes, "create similar" does not result in exactly what I expect (and want) and therefore additional work is required, when "copy" and the "rotate" is all the work necessary (for stacked walls). Your question is a great one. thanks for watching, thanks for asking. bob
