Thank you for making such a wonderfully informative video! I had a parallel box installed by JD 2 years ago on my now 11 year old 54 inch snowblower. The impeller was very worn, with over 1/2 inch of clearance. I ordered an AgriMetal AG99-50-0055 4 fin steel impeller. I used your video to learn how to remove the auger and drive shaft by tipping it on it's back and using a chain hoist to pull the augers and shaft. I left the gear box attached to see if I could do this w/o removing it. Only problem was the key kept falling out during the reinstall. I worked the key so it would stay on the main shaft during install. I'll know if it all work when I actually run it tomorrow. THANK YOU again for making this video!!!!!

Hey Jim, Thanks for watching !! Excellent, I’m glad the video helped. “Sometimes” All one needs is to see how something comes apart and they can do it themselves. Take Care and hopefully you get to try the new 4 blade impeller out this winter. You’ll have to let me know how it works. 👍🏼

Hey Mac, Thanks for watching ! I know green parts store states in the description for the single point unit that the 6 month warranty only covers for the 120R loaders. I looked at photos for both the H & R loaders and if mine had the H120 on it i would purchase the kit and install it. Keep in mind I don’t want to tell you incorrectly so do your own comparison and make the decision based on what you think, don’t take my word for it. lol Take care

Thanks for this video,I just completed the conversion on an older model snowblower. The main difference was that the bearing was pressed on the shaft instead of being kept in place with a locking collar. It was seized so bad it broke my puller and I had to cut it off with a grinder. I doubt this would have gone as well if not for your video. And holy cow is this gear drive worth it!

I simply jacked the hell out of the front get enough angle to get an impact underneath and voilà 123-1235 minutes tractor back down cutting with new highlift blades just be careful how you jack the front but there’s no need to take the cradle off.

I never knew this kit existed, thanks! As of 08/02/2024, the gearbox is $250.00 now, but still think it's a worthy upgrade. I always have trouble with the chain drive on my 47 blower, so it looks like this is the ticket! It is also very common for the blower shell to crack around those 3 bolt holes that the main shaft goes thru due to torque stress. Since this gear case has the 4 bolts around the frame too, that should spread the load and prevent cracks or stop cracks that have already happened from getting worse. I will definitely be getting this kit for my 47 blower and replace all the bearings too. Thanks for posting this!

I have a Big Dog mower, which as near as I can tell is close to the Raptor SD so this is great. Thanks for the video! Followed step by step. Also needed to use a couple of tips from other commenters. First was removing the bolts from the middle auger brace, then removing 2 bolts from each end of the auger. Leave the top bolt to allow the auger to pivot enough that the carriage bolts behind the impeller drop out, without having to move the whole auger. Also had to lay the blower face down to get the gear case to move enough so that I could insert the 4 bolts securing the gear case. Used a chain hoist to make it easier to wrestle around the blower.

Hey Eric, Thanks for stopping by the channel to check out the video. To answer your question. No, you don’t need to purge the hydro pressure off before you take off the single point like you do on the pain in the butt original connectors. That’s what makes this upgrade well worth the investment. The amazing thing is it doesn’t leak a drop when you disconnect. It’s quite the setup. Take Care 👍🏼
