As obnoxious as the games writing can be, the portrayal of Ryu is pretty on point. He knew from their first encounter that Yaiba can put up a good fight, saw that his opponent is back from the dead with some upgrades, and responded by unleashing a few powerful attacks to end the battle quickly. Efficient, focused, and recognized a tough opponent and reacted accordingly.

As obnoxious as the games writing can be, I love that Ryu's "actions speak louder than words" character still shines through here. Ryu IMMEDIEATLY shuts down Yaiba after the insult and kills him in a quick combo.

That izuna drop was so overly dramatic that it caused a nuke explosion. Sucks this is technically the last Ninja Gaiden game. Loved Ghost of Tsushima, will NOT play Sekiro, might get Mark of the Ninja on PS5 since I didn't finish it on XB360, but Ninja Gaiden was dope (when I had a strategy guide to find all the weapons and level them up).
