What month was this stay at Great Basin? We're considering a visit in late March of 2026 but are curious about the weather at that time.

This was most likely in January as I remember. That’s when we take our winter vacations so I’m pretty sure of that. It was snowy and very cold, but we happen to love that.

We love hiking in the desert, and it's fun to see all the cactus. 🌵 The closest we have to a desert in South Dakota is the Badlands. 😊 Happy 64th birthday, Dave! 🥳🎂🎈🎉

Lots of lovely campsites. Great tour. ❤ Your site #11 looked awesome. Dave modeling your site was funny 😂 The eucalyptus trees were so pretty. Maybe we can stay here one day! It's so wonderful that they have all the bear boxes and picnic tables, as well as the nice vault toilets. 😊 The group sites are cool, too. The view at #24 was amazing.

It truly is different, made with cane sugar, and probably have some real grapefruit juice in it. Also being in a glass bottle gives it a better flavor. For those who grew up in the United States in the 60s, it’s quite an nostalgic thing to taste a Mexican Fresca.

We have great taste in music. 😆 Looks steep. Phew! Oh, more foxes. Cute! Neat Olive Grove. Lunch looked yummy! That was a nice place to wait for the boat with pretty views. came to visit this camp ground today because of this video, its very nice and peaceful. though due to the season me and my husband were the only campers here, its was very nice until it got to the night time, you start to hear things and then it starts getting creepy, we had to sleep in the car because the tent felt scary being out there, i would suggest coming with more people if you need more peace of mind like us😂

Hey I am from north county San Diego and thanks for visiting. Torrey Pine trees are really unique because they are relics from the Ice age, in the past when California was much more colder and wetter they were found much more widespread across California, the last vestiges of Torrey Pines survived right next to the coast dude to the marine layer cooling down the area and giving them moisture as we effectively live in a desert without the marine layer.

Love all the dolphin footage. Aren't they so much fun to see swimming by your boat?! 🐬 This reminds me of a boat ride we did down in Mexico. We even jumped in the ocean when they stopped the boat for an hour or so. Oh, aren't those nice campsites?! 🏕 Lovely. The Channel Islands look like such a great place to hike and camp. We're hoping to make it there someday for a backpacking trip. It's so neat to see the foxes! Cute! 🥰 We have camping chairs similar to yours.
