Completely depends on the vehicle's tie points and routes your traveling. different tie down methods for different activities and applications. This videos is for hauling vehicles without proper anchor points on the vehicle going down smooth roads. I will always cross my tie downs on my offroad vehicle as its equipped with proper anchor points where the tie downs can not move going down a very rough road

So I have a car holder with a steel deck and was looking to add a E Tracz, but would like to know what Tracz is much better suited to transport cars that are low flow profile but also maybe some heavier cars what track is the best what track is easy to clean and what track is easy to installsteel aluminum what do you recommend? I understand his points but I'd much rather trust crossed 10K lb straps restraining the car laterally than a big block of rubber. Most of the classics I've towed have very secure, positive points to grab safely where there is very little, if any, strap migration. I use D ring straps over the solid axle, which are padded to not mar, and can easily wrap the axle and the front control arm. I've never had a car move.

Macs are the best, gonna have to get some of the monkey faces, got a set of 4 tie downs last year; 2 tree straps last month. Best of all made here in the USA

yes if your trailer is upside down it’s already too late but… If you strap all four corners to a trailer and flipped it over then flipped it over back to upright The car would be in the exact same position. If you cross strapped the car as soon as you started tilting the trailer the car is going to lift and definitely will be floating in the air while it’s upside down and it will never land back on the trailer in the same position. so that being said, it’s always more secure to strap each corner straight down without cross strapping

You should see what happens when 1 strap lets go when you have them crossed in an x. The remaining strap pulls the car to the side and loosens all the way and if you don’t notice pretty quickly that all your straps came loose witch most people rarely do then you usually keep driving until you hit a curve or some big bumps and your car falls off the trailer. With your straps straight front to back if 1 lets go the other 3 stay tight and still hold the car. It’s basic physics. You should never cross your straps.

I have one of these mounted in my Tacoma and it is rock solid. I have used it to hold 3 different saws and all of them fit nice and snug. It’s nice to know my chainsaw is secure and won’t go flying if I am in a collision.

He states that all their assemblies have the label attached with the WLL. NOT true. Received my tire block straps with the warning label; however, there was NO WLL. Called the company and still do not have this issue resolved. Brand new straps and NO WLL from Mac's Custom Tie Downs. The assembly needs to have the WLL, because the straps have a much higher rating than the hardware to which the straps are attached.

He is not kidding, Folks. Had a trailer with a Jeep on it come loose from the back of our RV. The Jeep stayed on the trailer through its whole wild ride and ended up without a scratch at the end. Thanks, in part, to Mac's Tie Downs. I would not use anything else. Mac's for the win.

It’s pretty easy to realize a ratchet without fully opening it. You just have to release the lock one tooth at a time until it’s loose.

A delta ring works well . Delta rings are either stamped out flat or round forged .

WLL (working load limit ) of that racket winch is 3333 lbs. .
