wow indeed, nice flight. back in '98 hiked and launched El Misti, Arequipa, would never do it again, or recommend it to anyone. We followed the Outdoor life channel producer's direction, big mistake. Never let a producer decide a schedule for foot launch aviation. Mid day second day above 15K' asl the east face was warm, light cycles convecting straight up the face to a cloud a grand over the peak for a few hours mid day. Conditions were possible to launch well below the peak, and soar to the top.
