I have a local car event page. On Facebook. "One Stop Car Events Vancouver " I try to post as many of the meets and shows happening throughout the year

192nd (Latimer Road) is one of the places where we used to street drag in the 70s and 80s. Until they took a construction ball and intermittently dropped in all over the road to make it too rough to race on. Some nights there used to be hundreds of people there.

Latimer, Harvey road, and "Overwaitee' (196th?) up in Port Kells were the big three I remember. All were too easy to get boxed in by the RCMP, not that it ever stopped us.

Bikes are definitely welcomed. The Cruise ins are slowly coming to an end for the season. Maybe a few more weeks. They'll start again in April or May.

If the weather is good there will be car meets happening over the fall, but most of the muscle, and classic cars etc will be hibernating

I miss the north, but not the cold… but after moving the southwest…. With the crappy way people are down here…. I’d almost prefer to live on the North Pole. It’s true. The land of enchantment … is actually the land of mañana.. (the land of tomorrow) where everything can get done tomorrow… but never hardly does. You get treated poorly for being a good worker because 99% of the crew is working at such a low that’s been taught to them by their elders…. So they think you’re making everyone look bad and make it almost impossible to survive the job….. it’s gross. Ppl do not hardly take care of things….. the only kind of real car show you’ll ever see here are from ppl coming in from out of state. It’s terrible.
